Diagnosed in July at the age of 48. It explains a lot as regards my life experience but at present I’m going through a form of grieving process for, not so much the life I might have had without Autism, rather how things might have been different with a diagnosis 20 or 30 years ago and the necessary accommodations. It’s a process.

Off-topic, but you have a face that screams good vibes to me. I don't know how to explain It but I find It very soothing. A very rare kind of beauty. Would definitely approach if I was in a setting that required me to make friends.

haha probs because on most days, I am good vibes lol. Nah on a level tho I have to spend every moment of every day with myself... I wouldnt want to be around a bad vibes person 24/7 so I actively try not be one

Thanks for this gem of a video. Millie has been really informative. I recently have been diagnosed with ASD in my thirties also; which has propelled my focus onto persuing artworks in particular murals to advocate for asd and neurodiversity. I am days away from finishing the first in the town of Paisley (which I will upload a short process video off..... Watch this space). With this being said I am looking to collaborate with neurodivergent Artists and creatives to create bold beautiful public art. Again Thanks your contents class. ✨

Take days off to recover. Such a good idea. I'm always looking for an excuse to not go.

In Canada it seems impossible to be diagnosed as an adult.

I am an adult from Canada and was tested and diagnosed. You can request a test from your family doctor and be put on a wait list, or you you can pay to get diagnosed. You can also find then request a referral to a clinic near you so you don’t have to wait for the system to assign you someone. If you are enrolled in a university or college you can request it from the school. Send me a message if you need more help.

@@victoriaecho4679 I’m in Saskatchewan, I asked my family doctor, he put me on a wait list, which has been useless. Everyone he has spoken to about it has told him that there is no one who will diagnose adults. Some of them told him to try going through the saskatoon autism society. I’m not sure if they got back to him, my next doctor appointment in on Tuesday, I’ll see what will happen there. It seems that on the KZbin app one can’t send messages to another.

@@endorolfgreenwolf5265 I am sorry you are dealing with that. If it's not too much trouble could you tell me what city you are in? I am in Alberta, so the resources I use are not applicable for you, so I want to get some that will be applicable to where you live. When I have found it, I will leave a link here.
