Ok ok ok. Toxicure I get you on the “Forger” mind blown thing. I had a similar experience recently. So in Fallout New Vegas there’s a perk called Miss Fortune, which will sometimes randomly summon a lady to stun enemies for you in combat. It took me until 80 hours into to my playthrough to realize that Miss Fortune was a pun about the word misfortune. It should’ve been so obvious but it hit me like freight train. I felt so dumb.

In the manga it's shown that in the past while still at the facility that experimented on her she has had little balls of hair (i.e. sailor moon's usagi) where the cones are now. Probably what she clips them onto. So it's probably just a style choice to break up her silhouette and they decided to use a well known reference to do it (aka elfen lied's Lucy).

I was only recommended this video now but I never thought anything of the hair clips, I do believe it is simply a reference to Rengoku no Ashe as I’ve seen a different community post or a different video talking about how Yor’s hair accessories also are a reference to Rengoku no Ashe. The author of say Jahy-sama and The Maid I Hired recently is Suspicious are the same, so there is a scene in the anime for the Maid one in which the master of the house is reading a magazine featuring the dark lord from Jahy-sama it’s probably just a fun little Easter egg
