[Stereo] Ms. Hersh performs solo on this late night USTV program, and then is briefly interviewed afterward. Oooops! Apologies for mis-spelling her first name - corrected, now.

She always looks somehow terrified and commanding all at the same time as she stares into the abyss and says "You want a piece of this?". Love her solo stuff, The Throwing Muses, and 50 Foot Wave.

This song has everything: poetry, storytelling, compelling emotion. Utterly beautiful, utterly hypnotic. Just wow, frankly.

Just amazing. When do you hear music with even a fraction of this song's emotional power from today's artists? It really does feel as though an era has passed.

@What's for afters? sold my lunchtime girlfriend on checking out Kristin with me.Since she was married It was an "undate"- she was enthralled as I have always been to experience Kristin for the first time,in her pared down band with just David and Leslie. Absolutely perfect.Funny how we never even kissed but sharing this was like tripping together. she had changed by the end of the night .Next thing I heard ,she left her husband ,quit her job ,and left town for parts only known to her. A pure memory , no baggage , just a fleeting glimpse of each other in passing.Glad to have played a part in her epiphany .

Her son Dylan was working at a crepe shop in Providence years ago and would still get embarrassed if you asked about his mother. True story.
@joaoignacio19785 жыл бұрын
Embarrassed ? Why? She is a great artist. Or, his issues "about his mother" are to do with the early Kristin's mental problems (very well publicized, even internationally speaking)? For me, it seems not fair. Kristin always acted like a lioness mother....😔
