The main reason people have mixed feelings about the 20 vs 1 series isn't because of the specific guest, it's because it focuses too much on the guest and not enough on the actual Sidemen. The Tinder and gameshow videos bang more with guests because the Sidemen also participate, whereas in the 20 vs 1 series it focuses almost entirely on the guest while the Sidemen are barely even in it. I can't even remember anything anyone other than JJ and Simon said the whole video. We subscribe to the Sidemen for the Sidemen, so if the video barely features the Sidemen then of course people will be disappointed. It's fine to have guests, but the guests shouldn't get more screentime than the actual Sidemen. A tinder video with Logan Paul, Jideon and the seven Sidemen with those same girls would have been a much better video and likely would have been about the same amount of effort to film. The guys, the girls and the setup were all there anyways, so I think people are confused why you would go with the 20 vs 1 format instead where the Sidemen themselves barely even feature.

20 v 1 Jidion was less well liked for more reasons than just "people don't know Jidion". That obviously doesn't help it, but it's definitely not the only reason. There's the frequency thing that was mentioned, but I also think this was the wrong video for Jidion. His whole branding is improvised waffling and the concept of 20 Vs 1 is being given a prompt and doing anything the Sidemen say, which I think stops him from doing his thing properly without being interrupted. There were other minor issues; JJ interrupted with voice over too much and his prompts feel the same every video. The other issue is that guests are too confident. Part of what made Harry's, Ethan's and part of Lux's so good was the fact that they were so uncomfortable and the viewers are supposed to identify with that. Now it feels like the goal is to make the women feel uncomfortable, which neglects the original point.

i heard some of you guys talk about the sidemen main channel videos on sidecast with calfreezy where a lot of you guys want even the travel videos to be cut down to 30 mins max for "more viewers" and viewer retention ie fans from america etc. But what i dont get is, ive heard all sidemen talk about how they dont really care about the views or money, well its not priority, main thing is having fun and making the core audience happy. The core audience wants as much of you guys as possible and rn its perfect, not for you to forget and and cater the unknown audience and become TV or MrBeast. Keep going like this, we dont care about professionalism, we like shithousery and 2hr+ main channel videos.
