Interesting how shallow the foundations of a house in the desert can be. In Central Europe, we have foundations about a meter deep, the minimum is about 75cm (more than 3 feet or whatever you use there) this is the depth where the ground does not freeze in winter. My garden irrigation is deeper than your house foundation 😃

Most houses in Denmark where I live is from 1500 to 2000 square feet, depending if you are 2-8people living there. So your 5000 square feet for just two people is insanely big. I hope some day to be able to go to the US and see how everything is bigger.
@mrjakobt3 ай бұрын
Your 2000 square feet home is quite a lot heavier though. Superior construction method are more expensive. One of many reason why houses in the US are so large.

So reason it was so wet in the beginning was because it was the slurry mixed in with concrete , slurry mix is what they use to coat pipes and prime pump before pumping concrete . The system uses 2 hydraulic rams that do a continuous push pull motion sending concrete up and through the pipes .
@Tyler_Brown3 ай бұрын
That concrete crew is an OSHA inspectors nightmare & I’d be willing to bet a structural inspector or engineer wouldn’t be super thrilled about them priming the pump into the footing. 30-40 yds for a house footing is rather impressive.

Ok, are they now going to put forms up and pour a Slab? In California and Vegas we would pour footing and slab at the same time, I believe it’s called a monolithic slab system, with that system you would dig your footers, run any under slab plumbing, drains and water, then put gravel down and rebar, then pour all at once. Or even a post tension slab which has cables running through it.

We have H.O.A here , we have a very clean neighborhood , people takes pride in their home and yards. You wouldn't believe how many homes in our area, homes are being built daily. One neighborhood there's 500 homes being built there . The home with 500 homes, it's land is huge , it doesn't surprise me, why because the owner of this subdivison, this man is a Billionaire . I watched one home being built and the walls were put up in 2 days . Who's ever building the one home , they are fast and today they are putting up the Trusses.
