Hi Dan! Here’s my analysis on your locker: Not trying to burst your bubble but unfortunately I don’t think the tin with the no Jackson’s is gonna be worth $700. Definitely some cool stuff in there but unfortunately those 80s-90s cards just aren’t worth that much. The binder with the charizard might have some potential. Looks like mostly everything is vintage (1999) in there. Definitely have that looked at by your friend. As for the rest of the sports cards there’s definitely good stuff in there. I’d have those all looked at by the expert, especially the basketball binder. Anything sealed/unopened definitely keep sealed if your intent is to sell. Overall you certainly made your money back on your locker, but the more important part is how much joy it seems to have brought you! Watching you sort through everything and how happy you are to do it makes me happy as well. Keep continuing that passion of the hunt!

@@SurivalGames4EVER The selling of storage units usually happen if the person doesn't meet the required pay due date, whether that is due to death, illness, not having the money to afford paying monthly for a storage unit or just not caring about the content inside. The owner of the unit is given a set amount of time to collect their belongings from it until it's put up fror auction.

IDK, I like the the surprise of opening/sifting through storage lockers but it just feels wrong to me. Guess I can't get over being sympathetic to who ever's stuff that use to be and theorizing about what could have happened that led to their storage locker being auctioned off. Would love to see someone go around buying storage lockers and trying to re-unite the items with their owner instead of trying to sell it for a profit.

Sorry but the way all the items were displayed in the locker gave me the feeling that it’s not really coincidental placed. It looked that items were staged to get attention for buyers. Multiple items didn’t had a natural way of storing them into a locker. What are your thoughts?

Pokémon cards: look for the card number in the bottom corner along with a star symbol. Star symbols are the rare cards. There will be different types of Star symbols depending on the sets. The different Star symbols along with card number tells you what rarity of card. There is also secret rares. Also you need to check for the condition of the cards. See if there is any scratching on the holos or damage to the edging of the cards. I had an enormous Pokémon collection of both cards and merchandise! Huge! And mostly all the original stuff except sadly only a handful of 1st editions. I was in elementary when pokemon came to America and my mom wasn’t on board with me getting Pokémon until about a year into the fashion. I still remember dragging my mom to a card store because I was also into baseball, but Pokemon had become a thing at school and I still remember looking over the counter and seeing the first edition boxes… oh it hurts the soul. My collection was in storage for a very long time until about 4 years ago. I decided to sell. I was wanting to sell the entire collection together but between impatient and not too many people had the kind of cash, I sold the merchandise separately but the cards had to be sold together. the commons and uncommons only go for 5 cents to 1.20. Nothing much but I had a good stack of rares and secret rare. Even better, they were in great condition and most would be graded a 10 if not a 9. I didn’t have the money to grade them. I sold them to a gentleman who does for a thousand dollars. I figured the numbers out, he would spend a couple thousand grading and in the end the collection would be worth 7000, but he would have to minus the few thousand. My family wanted me to keep for at least another twenty years. It was a colorful and beautiful collection. I’m the end I received in total for my entire collection 2500. Good luck in your endeavors.
