I'm guilty of doing that back in college. I was going over to a friend's apt for a party. In my excitement to get inside. I forgot to pull my emergency brake (I drove a stick shift).... I didn't even realize it had rolled backwards down the hill until I heard a crash and a car alarm going off. As soon as I heard it, I immediately knew what I had done! Soooooo embarrassing and an expensive mistake...

I think it is just a habit we either learn or don't. It's like the wearing of seat belts. I started wearing mine long before it was mandatory. When I park, I put the car in park along with engaging the hand brake. It is simply a good habit to cultivate.

A lot of people are funtioning on sleep mode so it seems. I functioned on a 2 hours daily sleep for many decades. The only issue I have was forget my key & lock the door. Three times I forgot my keys in my entire life. I practiced using my mind to work during the day. I do not allow my mind to fall asleep.
