I feel like they left the door open for another season or a spin off. The fans are already pushing hard for it. It’s crazy to think I didn’t watch this show the first season because I thought it would be corny but it was amazing and the lessons can be applied to life. Was a great ride!

I agree. This is a perfect finale if they stop here, but they set it up nicely if they want to continue. I only started watching the show a few weeks before this episode, and I am also amazed at what a brilliant ride this was.

Rupert was Emperor Palpatine, rotten to the core. Nate was Anakin turned Darth Vader who got redeemed at the end.

Mae straightening the picture of Geronimo in the pub is actually a subtle reference to the final episode of "Cheers". In the last scene of the final episode of that series, Sam straightens a same picture on the wall of the bar. The picture originally belonged to cast member Nick Colasanto, who died in the third season. After his death, the picture was moved from his trailer to the bar and Sam straightening it was a tribute to him. "Cheers", of course, has been referenced on the show before, with Sam and Rebecca. Also, Jason Sudeikis is the nephew of George Wendt, who played Norm on the show.

The play they were doing was the first idea that Nate gave back in the third episode, which was to use Jamie as a decoy and Ted told Jamie to make a performance of it, just like he ended up doing. If course, Jamie hated the idea in the beginning.

Favorite moments Season: Jamie having his moment after the injury. If you’ve ever been an athlete and had on of those moments you can relate. The pain after sucks 😂 but the moment is amazing! Series: Ted beating Rupert at darts because he assumed Ted didn’t know how to play. Ted forgiving Rebecca after she admits she was sabotaging the team. Emotional: Ted opening up about his dad committing suicide and Jamie crying after his dad came into the locker room and he punched him then Roy realizing what he grew up with and hugging him.

Not sure about the season, but my favourite scene in the whole series is the darts scene from season one. It's like Ted takes Rupert to the last three darts so he can give him a life lesson 🙂

I think they set up a great idea for a spinoff that would really work. You can't really continue "Ted Lasso" because Ted is gone. But I would definitely watch a show of "Richmond Women's FC". Rebecca and Keeley would be central. Any of the other characters could guest star throughout. Women's soccer is growing right now, in the US, in the UK, and internationally. 2023 is a World Cup year on the women’s side, and several documentaries about the various women’s leagues. There have been stories all over of world of women players facing issues like abuse and struggles for equal pay. There are a lot of stories to tell. If Ted Lasso was largely about fathers, this could be about mothers, tying in Rebecca's new role as a mother and maybe even motherhood could be in Keeley's future. A whole new cast of women players would include daughters, sisters and mothers all with stories to tell. There are also a lot of stories about gender issues in women’s sports.
