I love the mature mindset you have developed and the new point of view you have on life which is prioritizing yourself and responsibilities. If you don’t protect your time people will take it from you and you will never get it back. Love it!😊

Thank you for reminding us to get rid of clutter. Sometimes we hold on to things that no longer serve us just for memory sake. Love these types of videos ❤

Agreed! Keeping it transparent is always good. My therapist said sometimes it is ok to sit in pessimism but don’t live there. I’m healing from some extreme injuries and right now it’s a little hard to be positive all the time!

Re the Spanish thing...SAME!!! Mom spoke Spanish only as a kid until she met my dad and started learning English. The trauma back then was SO BAD she has actually forgotten a lot of Spanish words and feels she struggles to use it again. We didn't learn it growing up cuz she didn't want us to go through the same bullying and harassment. Ppl literally threw rocks at kids they thought were Mexican. Ppl nowadays forget how physical and open the hate was. Saddest part is that it be Your Own Kind that will treat you the worst now for not knowing Spanish. Ppl have literally tried to shame me multiple times about it. And yes, I took classes to learn it but I openly admit I am not where I wish I was with it. So hugs!!! 🫶🫶🫶 not alone in that one at all!

I feel you...As a kid I grew up being bilingual, I lived in LA where my school/ neighbors mostly were bilingual or majority spanish. After elementary moved to a city where it was predominantly white ppl...it was a culture shock at first but since I knew English no biggie but then I started to forget my spanish...I understand it but i speak spanglish now...yes racism exists in our culture but no one really talks about it...we are not American enough to be American and not Mexican enough to be Mexican...it's sad...

I agree. I’ve added at home work out. Nothing crazy just to get me moving. I’ve added reading books. I have about 10 so far for the year which might not be a lot but it’s more than I’ve done in years. Also be more aware of my everyday tasks.

You look great Lizzy! I love your subtle makeup especially the lip color. I really need to get my hands on that color corrector for under my eyes. 👏🏼

Lizzy I loved this ❤ I agree with you where I wish people understood that just because you don’t text them every day it doesn’t mean that you’re mad at them or don’t want to talk to them. My best friend can be very demanding and will get offended if I don’t text her or call her pretty much every day and it’s very exhausting. She feels as though best friends should tell each other everything and talk every day. I think that at 28 years old you do not 😅 we’re not in high school where you naturally see each other every day. I love her and she’s brought so much to my life but I also sometimes feel very judged by her. But maybe it’s just my insecurities. I’ve been having a hard time finding a way in which I can say that to her. I don’t want to be rude and offend I just simply do not have the mental capacity to text her every day. And I know we both already have enough on our plate full on in our careers. Am I being a bad friend for saying that? lol

Hey Lizzy! I've been following you for a while, and I really enjoyed this video! My parents are from Mexico, so I learned Spanish at a young age, but I still have an accent when I speak it. It's great to see you learning too! Sure, there might be some people who judge, but trust me, there will be even more who are excited and happy to hear you learning and trying. Keep it up!

thank you for this video, it's exactly what i needed ❤ also as someone who grew up fully bilingual, don't worry about mispronunciation/bad grammar with spanish, anyone who makes fun of you or criticizes is just a hater. i speak both english and spanish and i mess up phrasing in both languages constantly lol it's amazing you're even trying and i find it so endearing when people learn spanish

I started acting different after i had my child a year ago… cut a bunch of people out of my life that no longer aligned with my believes & respected my boundaries! It sucks but i value myself a lot more because of it.

I love this video. Such smart and encouraging words. So glad you are trying to learn Spanish and you are doing really well with it. I live in PR and one thing that I have seen and love is that tourist come and speak terrible Spanish with no cares. They do not care or worry about how bad they sound they are just proud that they are trying and let me tell you I love that for them. I think that is very admirable. We should all have that mentality ❤

I think your Spanish is very good, I think that you feel that you sound strange but your tone and pronunciation is really good. Just speak with confidence and don’t be embarrassed. It will come naturally with practice ❤😊
