What you could do is get the VA to say all the sounds used in the English language (like phonetic sounds, not words), and then incorporate it into something like Cleverbot where it could respond in real-time. I think the trickiest part would be to get the speech patterns down.

Oh! I was under the assumption that he wasn't meant to come off of the rail. Neat! Best of luck with the handles. My Wheatley's handles move but aren't load bearing because I couldn't find a good way to do this. Maybe you could use some strong gearboxes or something like that to take the load off of the handles?
