I have built a model of the 5-needle Cooke and Wheatstone Telegraph of 1837. It demonstrates how people started to communicate in the first half of the 19th century using electrical signals.

This is very helpful in understanding how the telegraph worked. I'd never seen one before and I was curious as to how it worked. Thank you for your explanation and visuals!

I read about the Cooke Wheatstone telegraph in an old (1970)"Life Science Library" book called "machines". It was nice to then see your video to get a better sense of this invention in action. Thanks!

No, it is not for sale. I can provide some suggestions on how to make one yourself.

Why not using 3 switches in same time? Number of combinations is increasing!

I just replicated the Cooke and Wheatstone telegraph. It is a bit late to share your suggestion with those guys 😂
