Wheel Horse Of Course! WATCH This Beautiful & RARE Classic Garden Tractor From 1965 On The Move!

Starting in 1946, Wheel Horse lawn and garden tractors were built in Indiana, and they became immensely popular with lots of improvements and design changes over the years. Wheel Horse was even the official garden tractor for the Indy 500 for many years, towing race cars and wagons around the track. Ed Peterson from Ohio has a rare 1965 Wheel Horse 1045, which was only built for about three months back in the day.

Family was a Studebaker dealer ,when they stopped production in 1966 we became a wheel horse dealer. I was 13years old. It was heaven. Our shop was 24 mile from south bend. My dad and I would hop in the pick up go get brand new right at the factory

When I was a kid in the 1960s, my next door neighbor switched from a copper colored Yard Man rear-steer riding mower, to a brand new Wheel Horse tractor mower, and he swore by it. Best mower he ever owned he said.

Just as a point of information... It's mentioned in the video that this was the only "Short Frame Big Block" Wheelhorse. There were others around that year. 1075 was a hydro with the newer flat fender. 1055 was the same as the one featured but with the newer flat fender.
