Let's say you buy a call option (with no intention of buying the stock) for $10 per contract X 100, the strike price at the time is $100 the price spikes upward in your favor let's say the original strike is $100 and to get ITM it has to be above $110 to break even on the contract price $100 plus contract price $10 and the price jumps to $125 you are now $15 ITM or (In The Money) it's 7 days before the option expiration and you want to get out or Sell the option and nobody want's to buy it for $125? WHAT HAPPENS THEN?

Between Brad and the guys at Skyview I have my mentors. One doesn't have to be Elon Musk to understand the Stock Market but one had better be dedicated and disciplined or else one will soon be out of the stock market as well. Tell you what guys when people try to impress you about what they allegedly know about the market only one question is necessary: "Can you tell me sir what is the difference between selling a call and selling a put?" While it is possible to make a relatively quick fortune in options; but, if you are in options solely to make a quick fortune alone you probably won't be making it - while I absolutely can't stand George Soros on fundamental grounds I do appreciate the amount of time, work, and effort he put into the business before he ever made a dime. For those of you who love the challenge of trying to figure out a math problem or puzzle you are in the right place and Brad is just the man to help you do it.

Hopefully this will turn out to be a long term relationship. We can offer each other a great deal of independent knowledge! For instance, although I don't know beans about the market and although society may consider me to be chronically old at 75; but, lets just say I don't look it, act it, or feel it and I will gladly show you how to live to be a hundred in good health. But in return I live in Florida and I have had some horrible unforseen events recently that is going to make money an issue this December - so I have a short time hop to learn the market. Aside from the fact that I am still a MENSA I think, for whatever that is worth, my days start early and I study virtually all day long. You might want to listen to C.S. Lewis "Mere Christainity" as it has helped me a great deal recently. But I want us both to become extremely rich although I don't consider money to be as important as having the knowledge. Thank you for being you!

Brad around the 14 minute mark you are referring the premium as a deposit or a down payment. When I put a down payment on something, that value is deducted from the total price. If I buy a house for 160,000 and put a down payment of50,000, I only need to pay an additional 110,000 for the house to be mine.Not so with options, the value is added to the total cost of the shares. In your example, you would be paying $210,000 total, not 160,000, what am I missing here? It's a deposit in the sense that it's non-refundable, but it is not a down payment.
@BradFinn3 жыл бұрын
It was a just an example. Dont dive so deep into it.. if you want you can consider it a non refundable additional payment🤷🏻♂️ what ever you want to do
