This is my go-to tire dressing. I use in combination with and Adam's foam block to apply. I use it straight up or 1:1.

I also rebelled against CarPro Perl for over a year but recently bought some and there's no comparison - CarPro Perl is the best I've ever used - period. It goes on really easy and is not shiny at all. I use it on tires and black plastic on my 911 and it works better than anything else I've tried.

As mentioned before, you should really check out AngelWax “Elixir”. I ordered their FastFoam to replace Adam’s in the cannon and they sent me a small sample of it, which you can also order. Immediately I liked it much better than the Adam’s tire shine I was using and even more than the VRT as it’s more liquid than a thick cream. Super easy to apply, gives tires a perfect satin look without anything greasy left on them. It never looks too shiny like some other products. It also beads up a ton of water. You owe it to yourself to try it, trust me.

What sort of durability do you get out of PERL? And why do you prefer Hyper Dressing for engine bays?
@ObsessedGarage

I apply it after every wash, so I maintain it well. It will only last a few weeks without maintenance. Hyper Dressing is a spray on and walk away. Perl needs to be applied.

I was excited to try this product. I am let down. It was extremely streaky on exterior plastic and trims. I have of course prep the surface with degreaser to remove the previous product used. I tried many different dilution: 1:5 (recommended), 1:3 and undiluted (streaks the least). On tires, it was blotchy and streaky as well, using it undiluted. Again, I prepped the surface with degreaser during the was process. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I don't use Perl on the trim. It doesn't last long enough. I prefer Gyeon Trim or Kamikaze ISM. For tire, you really have to spend time preparing them. Once they are prepped and maintained with Perl, you'll never have to do it again. I use either Stoner's Tarminator or Griot's Rubber prep after cleaning with Adam's Rubber Cleaner.

John Perez Get a tuff shine tire brush (short handle, stiff bristle) to aggitate the tire. I have been using super clean in the aerosol can and it is amazing to clean tires. It cleans them in one go around of scrubbing. If they’re really bad, two times does the trick. This will ensure the rubber is clean as can be. This will provide great results!

Matt, first of all, these product videos are great! Please continue this series so we can get a better idea of what you'll be selling on your site. When exactly will the tire packages include that Adams tip for the Perl dressing bottle??? Any chance you'll add 2 of the tips to each box? Also, any chance you'll just be selling the Perl dressing alone??? I want to order the tire package, but will be holding off until the tip comes with the package. Keep up the great work!

In this instance it was the use of the Adams dispenser for the pearl bottle - great idea and I have them to hand to easy to implement. As to the primary point of the product review I still agree that it is an excellent product and gives a great finish. Regards, Kevin

You said you've used adams VRP, but have you used just their tire dressing? I have tried almost all the tire dressings and found the adams tire dressing (yellow stuff) is the best by a long shot. I know I'm coming into this a bit on the late side since this video's been out since 2017, but as a VRT guy I've been looking for something "better." It's not that VRT is a bad product at all because it's not - I'm just not convinced it's the best product for tires if that makes sense. Been thinking about either this or Ammo Mud...maybe this is the kick I need to actually get some and try it.
