Wheelchair and fatties

Mathys, what wheels are these? We're looking at modifying my boyfriend's wheelchair with a freewheel and moutain bike tyres but these look way better. His chair is a customised chairman. Got any advice for us?

Nicola Orford we build these. Still busy with final tweaks to make it universal for all chairs. You cant go wrong with chairman and freewheel. Very good combination. The tyres are fat and turning not easy but on sand perfect. I do have mountain bike tyres as well. I converted my chairman to use 26" wheels. The rubber compound is better and softer tha the ones you get for 24" wheels. For everyday use mountainbike with freewheel will change his live. When I went to Canada to ski I just took those.

I came to this conclusion, first bought the fatty wheels then realised I couldnt hop along so well on the shingle beach, then bought the freewheel. The wheels are from a handbike and are quick release wheelchair hubs on mountain bike rims. They are fatter than the ones shown on the video, but then so am I!
