Type these keywords in the search: Genny Mobility 2.0 Ally Chair Rollstuhl Segway wheel chair News 2013 Apache You won't need a van, just get a wagon like subaru outback, have someone install a light $299 lift in the back, then get a small lightweight manual wheelchair, put it out, get on it and roll to the back, lower the machine with electric lift, transfer to the power chair or segway, & put the manual one in the back and go. or get an easy truck-lift.

@2bornottoby 4x4 is used in the outdoors by the disabled, for uphill, downhill, sandy beaches, mud, potholes, snow, stairs, hunting, fishing. If it tips over? rarely ever someone goes out by himself, usually it's with family or friends so they turn it over & help him up. It takes a crappy driver to roll this thing over. Since the chair's gyroscope keeps the seat at a balanced angle the chair won't roll up to 45 degrees unless the driver drives sideways on a hill which is dumb.

pretty impressive, im just wondering where a disabled person would use 4wd tho and if it would put that person in danger, for example if the chair were to tip over

You can order it from EBAY too but from manufacturer they're $6400, from Retailers they're $10,000 to $13000. Ofcourse they're not as capable as Segway wheelchairs. Segway wheelchairs' battery lasts over 24 miles while this chair only 1-2 miles, plus this doesn't fit through doors and its a pain to transfer at 400+ pounds.

thanks for the info..but I'm a broke..just a dream. checked out the segway. It looks awesome but my feet/ankles are way to contracted from a horrible condition(s)dystonia and secondary parkinson's. I can't put any weight on my left foot. It seens like the 4x4 is a waste if it only goes miles.. Can't get far into nature with that and for 6-10k!! I need to manifest an adaptive van first. OH how I miss nature and freedom!
