So it’s not really addressed here but there’s definitely country artists who are calling out Nashville, like Chris Stapleton has a song “Nashville,TN” which talks about him leaving the Nashville scene, and Zach Bryan who’s a big up and coming guy just released a song “If she wants a cowboy” which also makes fun of what Nashville has become and the end of it gets really auto tuned in a satirical way

When Wheeler brought up Waylon there was a serious misunderstanding on Taylor's part of how it was back in the 70's when it was said that likely rock n roll acts back then probably were asking, "What is this country guy doing getting into our world?" Nobody with any integrity back then was asking that. Even the greatest rock acts in the 70's knew that Waylon rocked and was simply a great artist - genre be damned.
