I could use the same equipment and dress just like you right down to the skivvies and I guarantee I still would not be catching bass like you. The practice and on the water decision making sets you apart. Nice work Jacob! I enjoy trying to learn what goes on in that brain you got there.

Great video! I am from Indiana heading to guntersville next Saturday for our annual summer bass club trip. 5 tournaments through the week and a pts tournament on Friday. Definitely going to try different baits myself that others may not be using.

Jacob, My go to bait the last week has been a Bellows Shad(3.8") in Electric Shad color on a Devine Jig head. I watched Alton Jones Jr. win a tournament on it (pitching) and I said I had to have that lure. It proves your point exactly. The bass and crappie just love it and they have not seen it before. The action is fantastic. Thanks for sharing such wonderful intel with us.

I'm so glad you won this one, I was getting worried that you maybe you were getting burned out or there's something going on in the family, but listened to the BTL podcast & found out then, you just think outside the box for figuring out what the fish may want, the bait really looks great can't wait to hear more about it!!

I’ve always thought about a really cool video idea that would help a lot. The only real way to find what rod suits you best is to try them all which can be pricey. Considering you’re the Tom Brady of fishing it would be awesome if you could run through all of your favorite rod action, power, length and gear ratio for each of the most thrown baits/rigs out there!

@atamagashock Жыл бұрын
It’s a very different bait than the 4” fluke. 6th sense has the 4” juggle minnow, which is basically the same bait he has there. I’m not saying you can’t use it in a similar way, but it’s very different action and profile

They changed the drawdown for Logan Martin this year.. from what I understand it will remain that way from here on out because every winter they have always drawn that Lake down way way way too much, to the point where you could only use certain ramps to even launch your boat. But this past winter they only drew it down probably around 4 or 5 ft which to some people may sound like a lot and to some others it may not sound like much. But there has been times where that lake has been drawn down 10 ft or more during winter pool... But no more.. I think the most it will drop is 4-5 ft from here on out from what I understand which is really good and makes me happy happy happy because those coosa spots can get back in there residential areas and not have to move as much like they usually would.. uhh..DING!!

Adrian avena had the juice bait as well. I just wish they would release the Baits before a big tournament win, that way it gives us guys that work all week, just to fish on the weekend a chance to figure the bait out, then when you guys win on it, we can put that technique to work as well. I get it, it’s all about money, but that’s also the problem; if it’s that good, the money will come, no matter when it’s released. Once companies realize integrity is better than profit, the profit will come. Maybe not as fast, but it will come!!!

🤔 Doesn't anyone throwing spinning kno how to back reel, don't ever depend on drag, the line starts cutting into the line on the spool I'm not knocking him but u an get bigger fish on smaller line by back reeling
@mylesG23 Жыл бұрын
It's not 1980 anymore where drag systems in spinning reels are complete garbage. I've caught 20 pound Muskies on 4lb line and ultralight spinning gear fishing for Perch, never have had a problem in over 15 years.
@weeman782 Жыл бұрын
Has nothing to do with 5 to 600 dollars reels with smooth as silk drags, u are missing where the line starts digging under the line on the spool, get someone to pull on your line like a fish, now watch the line that's starting to pull off the reel ,it starts digging deeper in your spool then causes ur line to heat up and ping there goes your line breaking cause of friction, So doesn't really matter how smooth your drag is, When you back reel your not stressing out your line at all, not like your drag is doing
@mylesG23 Жыл бұрын
@@weeman782 600 dollar reels? A 40 dollar quantum from wal mart has good enough drag to not worry about this. You need to stop watching Blaukat videos and learning from someone who is stuck in the 90s. If you are breaking fish off so consistantly because of the drag of your reel you need to learn how to set the drag on a spinning reel. Watch any of these guys fish and you hear the drag the entire time, even on 12 inch fish. That's how loose the drag is supposed to be on a properly set reel. Besides, these guys are changing line after every event. I can count the number of fish who have broken me off on my hands and they are all muskies eating through my line. Also he's using a Shimano Vanford spinning reel, they don't have the switch to turn back reeling on the new Shimanos. The best fresh water reel manufacturer doens't put a back reel switch on their reels.
