My local U S BMW dealer just had a seminar hosting 2 (a man and a woman) world travelers and their new GSA's. Very impressive 👏 bikes and riders. Demonstrated laying them on their sides with the very impressive crash guards and also the addaptive suspension. The women was short and demonstrated how the suspension works making it work for her. I'm sure you'll love your new bike 🏍 and will be watching your videos when spring "actually " gets here. 👍👍

What a wonderful addition to the family! As an ex-GSA owner and someone who has a DCT Gold Wing, you’ll love the auto function. Yes, your left hand will go for the non-existent clutch, but that just makes you chuckle more. Enjoy!! Mike.

A great bike. I’ll be ordering the exact same (sans ASA, gold wheels and Akra) next month. I’ve already looked in to changing the colour on the tank plates and luggage mounts. I’ll be getting them wrapped as it's not then permanent for the next buyer. Enjoy and keep us posted on the running in and riding. Thanks for a great vid.

When the r1300 GSA arrived on the scene I did not warm to the looks at all. A few months later and having seen a couple in the flesh I absolutely love the look of it. BMW designers are super smart and have a better idea of what customers want than they do themselves LOL. Personally, I have just traded my KTM 1290 super adventure for a multi-StradaV4S and absolutely love it, but I know that inevitably I will be coming back to a GS. They really are top of their game. Enjoy the roads of Cavan and don't lose it at Beffni bend ;-)

What a lovely ride! I collected mine just before Christmas and have almost the same one. Went for the black wheels and did have to have all the „silver“ bits powdercoated in black. Now, with the LoneRider MotoCase (large) and all black „BläckBetty“ looks a propper stunner. Looking forward to the upgrades on yours.

Congrats Dave! 1250 rider here with factory low suspension. I sat on a 1300GSA at my US dealer last week. It leans too far over on the kickstand, I couldn’t even stand it upright on the showroom floor and too tall for my 29 inch inseam. I’m hoping a comfort low seat and ride height option will fix that for me. AltRider is coming out with an adjustable kickstand that the height can be adjusted incrementally out to 5cm/2 inches, which should help with the lean for easier stand up.

The 2024 GSA is actually a bit bigger, at least in the eye test. Picked up a 2024 GSA in November 2024, opted for it over the R1300GSA. But love the gold wheels on your machine. Also, just added the Loan Rider Semi-Rigid side cases and the small Top Box for the bike, they arrived from Europe, I guess after a 7 week wait, and then sat in the garage for another 2 weeks.

You can programe the burger button so a long press will give you a second option on the rocker switch then when you touch just the rocker switch I have the heated front seat and grips but if I do a long press on the burger button the rocker switch will then do the screen up and down The scren will automatically lower when you switch off and if you had it raised when you switched of will rise again when you ride off The bike will also lift when the main stand touches the ground to assist you getting onto the stand

The prices for the 1250s have dropped like a rock in the USA with the release of the 1300, so it's a bit hard to justify 1300 GSA pricing when there is so many excellent 1250s GS(A)s out in the wild being sold with low mileage. I currently have a 22 GS and ride with a few buddies that also have GSs. 2 are on the 1300, the rest of us on 1250s. They sure do look the part, these new GSAs. Congrats! Looking forward to real world content on the ASA.

Hey Dave, congrats on getting a new GSA ASA. It's what I'm considering next after my 1250RT, though I'll have the same dilemma as I had before GSA or RT. Apparently the 1300RT is on the way. It's funny you mentioned the Daytonas. These are the best boots ever made. I bought a new pair in 2022 when I got my RT, but instead of the Evo Sports GTX, I bought the Voltex which in my opinion aren't as good as the Evo Sport GTX. I put 80k miles on my Evos, with one resole, which back in the day was only £75 (I didn't have a bike between 2013-2022). Anyway, to refurbish and resole my Evos was about £300 and the Voltex I managed to get get for £450. The problem as you stated is the size of the bloody things. I have arthritis in my ankles and that combined with the boots means the gear selector has to be on maximum space. My local dealer cut the thread down on the lever so I could get maximum clearance. At the back, as you said, your feet constantly hit the centre stand. It's a small price, but annoying, to pay for the safety of the Daytonas though. Enjoy your bike, ride safely and remember....Toon, Toon, Black and White Army! Oh I meant to say, I tried an GS with ASA and it was phenomenal. I like the idea of it for very slow speed manoeuvring, like filtering in narrow lanes on the M1. It's one less thing to worry about when you need your wits about you. It also means the embarrassing pull away drops are a thing of the past.

There’s nothing like getting a new bike and especially if it’s brand new (bought my first brand new one recently) but blimey thats a lot of bike and it looks massive. I have an XR with a raised seat and when I hop on the MT10 it feels like a toy 😂
