excellant explanation of tightening the wheel wedges on your 1086. Still have our dad's 1976 black stripe 1566 ( 3,600 hours on the clock )... in April , when we drive it out of the shed , will inspect , and tighten if necessary. Do recall dad having to tighten the wheel clamps on his 966 ( a 1976 black stripe unit as well , that tractor was sold in 1990 , was a good tractor ).

across Saskatchewan and Alberta , there , years ago were lots of tillage units similar to your 5 blade rig , mostly the " Noble " brand , manufactured i recall , at Nobleford , Alberta . Sort of a diminished method of field weed control since glyphosate/roundup gained widespread useage.

Never had a wheel come off but a stub axle broke on the fully loaded liquid manure spreader. I wasn't driving that day the boss was. Fortunately, it was right at the entrance to a rented field. I did help jack the tank up and install a new stub axle. Of course the tank was emptied out but the field sloped down hill away from the roadway. Could have been so much worse.AL B.

I had a rear wheel come off on the raod while driving a white 2-105. The U bolts loosened up, I felt two wobbles and the wheel was gone

To cut off weed roots. Lift them slightly and leave as much residue behind as possible to prevent blowing.

lifts the soil, cuts off roots, while leaving a lot of residue intact to prevent blowing soil in our usual dry conditions.
