Wheels are on the ground in the UK! First stop: Scotland and the Glentress trail centre. I had no idea what to expect, but the riding was really good fun and the sun was shining.

oh my gosh this was so fun to watch! I had a chance to ride Glentress a few years back when I was first getting into riding. Watching this video brought back so many fun memories. I remember hanging out in that cafeteria after getting soaked in a rain storm! ha! Can't wait to see more from your trip.

First: DON’t BREAK THE COCA-COLA HABIT! Second: What an amazing trail center! WOW!! I know that here in the US, we are trying to get more of these types of venues open and running, but, MAN, do we have a long way to go! Groomed trails, well marked signs, refreshment center, and all the bike amenities in one place. WOW! SkyPark at Santa’s Village is the closest thing I have found here in SoCal. DH parks are not the same as Trail parks.

The Forestry Commission is the government body that looks after the UK forests. Their willingness to help create these trail centres (seven in all, collectively called the 7 Stanes) has been a huge success. Trail design, construction, maintenance, way-marking and facilities at all of them are mostly first class. You pay £3-£5 all day car parking fee which helps fund them. Hats off to them and all the trail fairies that made them what they are over the years!

If you go again, after you do spooky woods, where you then went to Super G instead you should go towards Betty blue, once you get to the corner where you head up the hill to Betty Blue instead of going left take a right there is a small unmarked trail which is very very fun and steep. It’s a lot of fun
