I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Right on point.....I miss Dave Aranda.....even when our offense was lack luster ...if we got 24pts from the offense Aranda defense would secure the win most of the time because the defense wasn't just giving up more than 24....2020 it showed his first season gone...we would score 40+ in many of those games and still lose the game

What I don’t understand is why lsu keeps playing zone defense. 9 times out of 10 it doesn’t work. We are a man to man team. Matt house needs to adjust or he’s gotta go!! Geaux Tigers 🐅

They don't have the speed or ability to play man to man against SEC teams, they'd get beat on every play. At least with zone they can somewhat mask it although they're not able to tackle either.

@@iiChosenOne I disagree. We have Perkins and other 3-4 star players on our d line. Yeah our secondary sucks but we actually make stops and good plays when we play man. That’s the reason we got that pic six against Missouri

​@@emperor___palpatinePerkins is a linebacker. Not a safety or corner. When you see a LB on a receiver in coverage, that spells disaster. Your safeties and cornerbacks should be the ones doing that and they don't have the athleticism to keep up. They go zone knowing they will give up a cushion but if you execute it should be medium yards. Unfortunately our guys don't tackle well in space or don't know where they're supposed to be at times so if you are late or whiff on a tackle, that's why you get those big gains. Also playing zone is predicated to the DL to get pressure on their QB, if you don't get home, he has time to pick apart your defense.

As a lifelong LSU Tiger fan, I can say that I've never seen Missouri play better ball since they joined the SEC. They have fast receivers that LSU's defense couldn't contain in the first half. Good luck with Kentucky next Saturday; they were just handed their first loss as well.

The missed false start was on first down from the 2. Mizzou would have scored anyway first and goal from the 7. The missed facemask call on LSU was on 3rd and 13 which would have resulted in a first down for Mizzou, and the way Mizzou was moving the ball, easily could have resulted in more points. The missed facemask in LSU's favor was much more impactful on the game.

LSU just went on the road at 11AM in the SEC to an undefeated top 25 team and won. They have one of the best QBs in the country, and 2 of the best WRs in the country as well. The defense sucks, but LSU is still a top 25 team.

Maybe that pick 6 will give them the confidence to start jumping routes....from my observations seems the defensive backs are hesitant to play the ball but instead play to try and keep everything in front of them....finally saw 2 intercepted passes where lsu defenders jumped routes instead of playing to make the tackle after the catch

Two things 1. Where was the hold on Daniels TD run @ the 9:00 mark? 2. It was explained that the field goal @ 9:20 was called no good because it was too high 😂 Ok now the officials are just messing with us

The holding very obvious the tight end 88 lined up on the left side of the line held the defender #21 so Daniels could get the edge. The field goal was weird I thought he made it but apparently not
