OU's defensive line has not gotten pressure on opposing QBs for many years now and that was a huge problem under Lincoln Riley who massively failed to field a decent defense. Had he been able to field even a top 50 defense the Sooners probably would have won 2 or 3 national titles since they had 3 starting NFL QBs (Mayfield, Murray and Hurts) including two of them being #1 NFL draft picks. Everything changes when that QB is running for his life all game long and that's what I'm seeing the 1st 3 games. This team has a chance to be REALLY good.

The school has made some real poor decisions at head coach (Callahan, Riley) that is more of a difference factor. The toxic nature of Texas’ presence in the ol’ XII, the school had to move to greener pastures. The future is uncertain at UNL, but even more so in a crumbling 2nd tier conference.

UCF 2019: 3 interceptions UCF 2020: 4 interceptions Oklahoma(3 games in) 0 interceptions Gabriel may not have as good of a passer rating as prior QB's, Or put up as many numbers, But he's actually careful when he throws the ball, and his ball placement is almost perfect. Not to mention he can run if need be. He also doesn't panic when under pressure, he actually plays all 4 qtrs. of the game and doesn't burn out in the third Qtr. He's honestly better than Rattler and arguably, Caleb Williams, in a few areas. Rattler was just a cocky kid with a strong arm, but pretty crappy ball placement on deep shots, a terrible QB IQ, and nearly trips over his own feet or slips and falls too much... and Williams has a lot of potential... but he was redundant and predictable to any good defense he played... he clings to the right side of the field WAAAY too much.

The Negative: Gabriel went out in the 3rd quarter, fine. OU has got to protect Gabriel because OU fans tend to forget he is recovering from a shoulder operation. So with over 8 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter and the entire 4th quarter, OU has the 2nd string QB in the game who has no experience, and all he does is hand the ball off to a running back. Again, this QB, who needs a lot of development, did not throw the ball, all he did was just hand it off. What is OU going to do when we really need a backup QB? Not happy with the 3rd & 4th quarters. A lot of you were not around in the 90s when Nebraska beat OU in Norman, 1996, 73 to 21, then Nebraska followed it up the next year 1997 73 to 7 in Lincoln. Lebby's offense looks just like Lincoln Riley's. OU needs to learn to keep the foot on the damn paddle at all times. Michigan beat Uconn 59 to 0, in Ann Arbor! Michigan kept the foot on the paddle. Don't feel sorry for Nebraska, nobody felt sorry for OU in the 90's, we finally got it right 1999 Bob Stoops first year.

He didn't throw the ball because they wsre up 49 -7. Its heatless to throw when you're up that much. .

When your up by 6 touchdowns, you develop your other players by giving them some game time experience. You practice ball security and run the ball so that the clock runs down quicker. This is football 101 stuff. We could have scored 100 or more on Nebraska today, but that would have been poor sportsmanship and unclassy as hell. C'mon man. Were not in the SEC. We are in the Big XII. Even so those things I just stated would be true playing in the SEC. Everyone that watched that game new it was over with a little over 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. We don't have to be jerks. Now if Nebraska could still score once in a while then we would have to keep scoring. But our D was dominant in this game and it wasn't going to happen.

Nebraska looks so weird with a Big 10 patch on their uniform, just like how weird Oklahoma uniforms will look with an SEC patch 🥴

It looks like Nebraska has expanded their "ole" style defense to pass blocking. This game was over Sooner than it it began.

Oklahoma hasn't been tested yet but Texas will coming up in 3 weeks and if they manhandle the Longhorns then I'll know they have a legitimate contender. So far to me one of the weakest points for Oklahoma is their kicking game, I hope he improves over the season.

@@lonely133 Texas stomped a mudhole in us, great job. I always root for the big 12 if someone goes to the playoff and I hope Texas goes and beats Alabama. Texas had Alabama on the ropes, should have beat them. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the year. It's been a while since Oklahoma sucked, it's that time again and, Im ok with it :)

Tackling is a foreign concept to the Nebraska defense. A good defense is foreign as well to the Nebraska DC.

I know it's hard to see now but Nebraska Cornhuskers will rise again. We will be on top again. Things have been messed up since we left the 12 but we will be back on top. Believe it. Go Big Red! Shake it off and get back on top! Show these haters and disbelievers how we really roll!
