If that light came with an option to change the warning color with the flick of a switch as well, I'd get this right away. Would be the perfect unit for me then - all blue as the warning color while responding, all amber when stationary and white takedown/scene lighting whenever required. I've been searching for such a dashlight for years now, allowing for an easy and immediate color selection (blue/amber) plus the option for additional white scene lighting.

Hmh. Maybe when my knockoff viper s2 dims or quits I'll have to get one of these. I really like that takedown function. Could help at accident scenes at night when first on scene POV.

cops where I live always have their blue light in their roof light bar on constant steady burn. it's not bright like takedowns just bright enough to be seen from a distance do and dash lights offer that feature of a steady burn in blue

What lighthead is in the Whelen Avenger Trio shown here? It looks similar to the Whelen LIN6, but I know it can’t be it.

It's the same Linear optic reflector as the Avenger series lights, just further populated with a total of 18-diodes (6 of each color) verse the usual 6 if it were single color.

Whelen may introduce a sync capable version in the future. As it is now, you can not sync the Tri-Color Dual Avenger. The current Dual and Single Avengers can not sync unless you are to Order the S (sync) version(s) of them.

How good is the throw of the white constant compared to led takedowns?

The throw of the White works well for relatively close-up illumination... about 10 yards out. It's more of a Flood Output, so with that, on a traffic stop and having focused light that can beam further and be more effective through tint, the LR11 model would be best suited. We've had several clients use the AVNT2's in the back windows of their Trucks are there amazing for bed / cargo lighting. The White has a good spread.

+291xMac ... You won't be able to tie in a separate button to change from Amber to Blue. To change the Color Mode, you'll need to use the in-set push button on the Avenger.

this light would look good in an unmarked car i might get some for our new taurus i got three of your whelen slim misers in the front of my current unmarked car {as you can see from my profile pic}. under the drivers side i got a RR slim miser on the passanger side i got a BB one and i got a RB one flipped upside down screwed in the dash with a star/svp DL16-6 adjustable light system next to the third break light with some nova miro then strobe heads and a regular ( whelen avenger single red, whelen avengeer red/blue and whelen avenger single blue ) on the top of the back window.

The Whelen TRIO Dual-Avenger is one of Whelen's brightest Interior Dash Lights. It does great through tint and has nice off-axis visibility. The only thing that can really out do it would be one of Whelen's IX Series Interior Light-bars.

There really great Dash Lights. Don't forget that you can also snip the 12Volt Plug-in and hardwire the 2 functions to your Controller.
