Saw this from BCIT's 1979 Piper PA-60 Aerostar, it was equipped with this siren. Sadly, it remains permanently off since this plane was mostly used for instructional use.

despite whqt people claim, this is NOT the siren thqt met police or LFB used. It was haztech eurosmart or lower-pitched woodway commander 3 sirens that they used, not this one as it wasn't sold to UK back in the day

Odd how there is no separate Air Horn button like modern sirens have today that could override any of the sirens tones. The WS-295's Air Horn mode could only be accessed on Yelp and Two Tone. Also, did you know that the 295 could be optioned with a Piercer tone instead of the Two Tone? The Two Tone mode was very common, but there ARE a few 295's that have the optional Piercer mode. There is one video i saw on here of someone demoing their 295 with the Piercer tone and it was pretty cool.

No. The NYPD used Scientific Prototypes Mark VII (SP Mark 7) sirens as well as a few other SP models all thru the 80s until the earl 90s when they transitioned to Federal Signal Products.
