When your teacher tells you to be in aramandi and leaves, judges another group's entire performance, goes around observing all the groups, drinks chai, hover through the rings of staurn, travels across universe and comes back. And says, ok, we will now begin with the rehearsal. 💀

I guess she told me how her own guru would throw the hammer that was used for the tabla at people who messed up and my guru had that hathodi too so i was always scared that one day she might do it too 💀💀And now at 24 im still scared of her although now she gets more disappointed than anything else.

I have a story here u can skip if u want. One of my bharatnatyam teacher from school activity class once gave this particular stance as a punishment to a girl cuz she was talking a lot during lessons, i still remember how we were all terrified of speaking again after seeing it. Also all 3 yrs in which i opted bharatnatyam as my activity this teacher was the only one who taught us seriously and not using all the time on the functions. I wish i can meet her again since she left the school soon after 😢
