Hi Valentine. In the bag that comes up from the sea there are 600 tons of fish, but ran out of battery in the drone before pumping, so we were half done when I got filmed during pumping, the bag that lies next to the boat during pumping is about 300 tons.

There is no way that is 600 tonne. We pulled up a 90 tonne bag on a 78.4 mtr stern trawler and it would have been as long as that ship not to mention the size of the vessel in the video would be lucky to have a 400 tonne hold (freezer)

Hi Corey. In this bag that comes up there are 600 tons of fish in it, I was the one who pumped the fish on board, so I know this. It is not abnormal with sacks up to 750 tons in a towing.

Brilliant video just wish the drone had been closer to the bag when it broke the surface but that is maybe not possible

Thanks Donald McLean. next time I get the opportunity I have to try to get lower and closer to the bag, it would have been fantastic 👍 So who knows, maybe someday 😁

How many times a day do ships catch this amount? How many ships are doing this? Can we ever run out of fish? How do we make sure we only catch the fish we are trying to? Netflix wanted me to ask.

How many times a day depends mostly on the size of the fish pump and the size of each catch. and so on. But most of todays norwegian ships that have quotas to catch blue whiting can carry 1500 up to around 3000 ton before they have to go to shore to unload. but those ships usually work nonstop until the ship have full load.
