Tim Conway was actually a service station customer of ours at the Richfield station at Balboa and Ventura Blvd in the SFV. He drove a blue 4 door Jaguar with the license 13WKS. I asked him one time what it meant. He said you know that I had 2 TV series that only went 13 weeks, and this reminds me to always continue to work at being the best you can be. And he was as nutty off screen as on. With him what you saw was what you got.

Tim Conway was always good for a laugh, whether alone, or with others. Harvey Korman was his best skit partner. They gave me so many laughs over so many decades, and now I can watch it all again, for free on the internet. RIP you two doctors of the best medicine--laughter! You are both sorely missed.

Funny😂 There was a true story, it happened in France. Bank robbers' get away car run out of gas just a few blocks from the bank. Police chase came to an end 😂 And that how they got caught. 😂

Oh goodness! I nearly fell off my chair, laughing! When he climbed in to do the windows - that was funny but when Harvey came out with his glasses covered- hilarious! Poor Harvey - his characters get so frustrated and I love it! Go Tim, go as whacky as you can!

I first saw this episode as a kid on Feb. 10, 1973 on TV in a motel room in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Of course my whole family was road weary as we’d just driven all the way from Fort Worth, TX in one day.

for those younger than a certain age, gas stations actually did compete for business with service. The attendant would clean your windows and even your side mirrors, top off your battery, refill your windshield washer, check you oil and tire pressure. I recall times, down south, being offered a free Royal Crown or Dr Pepper while they did all that.

There will never ever again be the comedy and funny moments that were on variety shows in the 1960s & 70s. This stuff never gets old or dated. Carol's show ranked at the top and was on for 11 marvelous seasons. I feel fortunate to have lived in that time of great entertainment on TV.

Me too! I grew up in 1970's Southwest Philly where we played outside all day and rode our bikes for blocks without a care or fear in the world. When the street lights came on, we knew it was time to head home for dinner and then the whole family would watch Starsky and Hutch, The Six Million Dollar Man, Fantasy Island, Love Boat, The Waltons, and yes, The Carol Burnett Show! I even remember watching the Lawrence Welch Show with my mom. The music and TV shows of that decade left me with fond memories of my childhood.

Gas 50 years ago was only 33.8 cents per gallon?!? Today on the west coast of Canada it's the equivalent of $4.85 USD per US gallon for Regular!

Annoyingmouse...Yeah and I was making about $2.10 per hour here in the U.S About .35 cents per gallon give or take while in college. Candy bars were probably 10 cents . And a lot of TV commercials were funny . But Carol Burnett show was very funny .

@@lar7905 Would go into the one greasy spoon in town and could buy a burger for 40 cents - 45 cents with cheese, and a soft drink for a dime. And if asked, they'd put some cherry flavoring in it to make it a cherry-coke (was better tasting than what Coke later brought out themselves). Today can cost $10 and more for what was less than a dollar back then.
