They still have to deal with integrating x^2x, x^(2x^(1/2)/ln(x)), and 2x^(x+x^(1/2)/ln(x)). Good luck doing that in calc 2.

@@NaN_000 Wouldn’t that equal e^(ln(x^x)), which equals e^(xln(x))? I’m not sure if this next step is valid, but perhaps that leads to ln(x)*e^(xln(x))*(1/x), with the last term coming from the chain rule? I’m not certain.

@@dudono1744 You can do it by finding a generalized form of x^x's Puiseux series, and then integrating that. It would be not very nice looking, and would have nested summation functions, but it's possible. I'm not sure you could convert the series back, though. Maybe you could define an arbitrary function named after yourself, and then define it as equivalent to the series?

I’ve felt depression from these videos before, but this hit a whole new low. My teacher, a former AP Calculus teacher, now teaching semester normal Calculus, it’s especially hard since it’s semester all crammed lessons, anyway, the teacher would purposely find hard and tricky questions to be on the test. Our class hated it.

Integrating some of these terms such as x^x or x^(sqrt(x)/ln x) individually already seems annoying enough on their own. But now that the whole expression is being squared, things just got a whole lot worse.

The number of terms you get after squaring a sum of *n* terms is equal to *(n^2+3n)/2* terms, given n ≥ 2 terms. Therefore, squaring a sum of 10 terms yields a sum of 65 terms. Like I said, integrating terms such as x^x or x^(sqrt(x)/ln x) individually may be tedious enough on their own, but having the whole integrand being squared makes the entire integral explode.

I will probably start with integrating by parts with differentiating whole integrand and integrating one then I would try to simplify the integral which remains and using linearity split it into more integrals Here we have Int((f(x))^2,x) and integration by parts gives us at least two possibilities Int((f(x))^2,x) = x(f(x))^2 - 2Int(xf(x)f'(x),x) or Int((f(x))^2,x) = f(x)Int(f(x),x)-Int(f'(x)Int(f(x),x),x)

Why just stick with 2 when you can make them evaluate another similarly long integral to see what power the main integral is raised to? That integral can be an "all-in-one" calculus integral per se.

The (1-x^2)^1/2 makes the restriction x0, so I think with an indefinite integral like this, there’s no answer because 0
