The world is dangerous, but it's also warm. With a sense of security, a little help might light the stranger's way home.

I once was asked by a waitress in a small cafe to stay until closing because she was worried about a guy that had been there too long and kept staring at her. I stayed there three hours until it closed and walked her to her car. The stalker waited until closing as well and he just walked away. She was the only one working that night. I’m glad she asked me for help.

I haven't had any experience getting stalked but when I was 16 I was on a busy train and this creepy old guy kept leaning on me and trying to touch me. I froze in fear and made eye contact with other passengers silently asking for help... but no one did. I finally mustered up the courage to pull away from him and I shouted at him "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!!" The guy was shocked and backed away and I ran off as soon as the doors opened. I remember being embarrassed from all the stares then but looking back now I'm proud that I stood up for myself and I would do the same to help others if they need it.

When I was 13, I was with a childhood friend and we were walking in the streets. It was daytime, but it wasn't somewhere I was familiar with since I was just visiting my grandma. There were two older guys who started following us and at first we thought we were just paranoid so we took different turns and all, but then we realized they were really following us and got scared because we weren't close to home. So my friend whi was braver tried reassuring me and all, she took two big rocks on the floor and gave one to me saying "they try anything, I throw that to one of them, you throw that to another and we run". I gulped and nodded. Then we saw an old lady coming out of her house (the streets were so empty and that's why we were 10× more affraid). So we rushed to her and told her quiwtky something like "auntie, those two guys on the other side are following us, can you help us please ?" And once she understood she conversed with us normally and all, and the boys walked away and we thanked her a lot Of course the adventure didnt end here, that day was rough and disasters like that kept accumulating til the point I was like "please tell me this is a dream and I'll wake up safe in my bed." In the end, we did get back home safely, but I was so traumatized that I couldn't talk about anything that happened that day to my mom until recently, I kept telling myself "nobody will ever believe me" Five years have passed and I'm still grateful to that auntie.

I remember the story my dad told me. He jogs very early in the morning, his usual route is to our old airport where it's pretty isolated. One time as he was resting on a bench, a girl sat down beside him and casually talked to him as if they were old pals. He found out that two guys on a motorcycle were following the girl, and even parked near them perhaps waiting for the girl to jog again. My dad didn't left her until those men left 🥺. When he told me that I got worried for him too 😅 He's not exactly young anymore, but I'm proud of him.

Gosh I understand you,a few days ago 2 mens were following me.It was 9-10pm and dark outside.Here in Vienna its not really safe when it's late and I went another way cuz I thought they won't follow me but they did.I saw a Men and I asked him If he could help me and pretend to know me for a while but he said I was just making too much drama and that they dont follow me. A boy who was on the window heard our conversation and he opened the door for me and he tried to calm me down.He went with me outside and he was holding my hand tightly and was making jokes and stuff like that. After a while they went to another direction but he brought me till to my house. If I ever see the men who rejected to help me,I will really yell at him!I will soon turn 15 years old and it was the scariest thing in the world.I'm even scared to go outside...

Being stalked is really scary, and to be honest if she had come to me for help I don't know what I would have done. I can come here and say she should always be helped. But in the moment, the decisions you take are not always the same as when you see it from a distance. I have had the experience of being asked for help, offering it, and being scammed, used or targeted as a result. It happened so many times to me that now I feel I would not offer my help so readily, and it is not something I am proud of. But it depends so much on each person's experience. While watching this, all I could think of was these people returning the way they came after escorting the girl, a way in the direction of the stalker. If this was not a social experiment, I would be very worried for each person that was alone after helping her. It is just due to my previous experience. This is something I think should be considered before judging people's reactions.

As someone who physically developed at an early age, age 12-17 exposed to me the sheer amount of deviants in the world...I can never unsee or unhear some of the things those men said, even after I told them I'm 12 or 13 years old. Why is the world like this. Why are so many people driven by sex to the point where they would hurt and destroy child, or even get more excited to destroy a childs innocence. We need better activities. Kids deserve their innocence.
@VVayVVard
@VVayVVard 2 жыл бұрын
As a biologist, I find this very easy to explain: being legally "underage" has nothing to do with sexual maturity. It's perfectly healthy for a male to feel strong attraction to a female of fertile age (in fact, it's unhealthy, or "unfit", for them not to do so). That's the mechanism that has allowed animals to survive for hundreds of millions of years, and humans are no exception. If this didn't happen, humanity would go extinct. Teenagers "losing their innocence" is a trivial issue by comparison.

@@manyabansal6394 Violence, drugging etc is a problem, I agree. There's also the issue of STDs and unwanted pregnancies. I don't subscribe to the notion of sexual 'innocence' though. In prehistoric times it was not unusual for children to witness adults mating, and to do "sexual" acts towards one another, like chimpanzees do. The reason our culture turned out the way it did, treating sex as a taboo, has nothing to do with morals. In historic times birth control did not exist, and pregnancy often meant death for both a mother and her baby. Pornography did not exist, either. Thus, preventing childhood exposure to the concept of sex was the best way to reduce the likelihood of unwanted pregnancies. It was necessary to maintain societal stability. Our concept of "sexual innocence" is just a vestige from this age, and has no functional (medical or psychological) significance of its own.

a few months ago a similar story has happened to me when i was waiting for the bus so i can get home from the university. i had some spare time before the bus arrives so i decided to go to the subway, sit on a bench and watch some vids on youtube. it wasn't scary there at all because the subway is full of people passing by. i was so into the video, besides i was using earphones so i haven't noticed a stranger sitting almost beside me on the bench. suddenly ive got a very uncomfortable feeling and stopped the video to figure out what's wrong. finally i noticed the stranger and he was staring at me all the time. his eyes were so creepy idk why but there was something creepy in the way he stared at me without even looking away or blinking. i am very shy person so i thought maybe he's just a weirdo and just continued watching the vid. but time were passing by and the stranger kept looking at me from time to time. and i just got up from the bench and quickly moved away, closer to other people and began to look at the shop windows. i was so scared when i saw in the reflection that he also stood up and began to approach me. he came up to me and asked if i would like to go with him and have some coffee. of course i said i didn't want it. he asked me why i was here alone and why am i so sad (i had a bad day back then). if not for his scary look and age difference, then i might have thought that he was just a good person who wanted to check if everything is okay. but duuuudeee that weird and creepy look. bruh. thank god my older brother was already coming for me from the store and i thank god this stranger left me alone. im still scared to be alone in cities even though i am 17.

I once had a hooded man following me when I was walking to the train station. I tried walking faster but he just kept following. Luckily two guys, which I assume were students noticed. One of them called out to me 'hey sis! I thought you were having dinner with mom' and then he and his friend came walking beside me. They walked me all the way to the train station and even waited with me until my train arrived. It's not that hard to help people, and a warm gesture like that will always stay with you 💕

I suddenly remembered that grandpa who helped me. I was walking home, alone and the way to my house is very quiet and dangerous. It was 8 in the evening when I notice a strange looking guy behind me. And me, being a scarey cat, I started to panic and shake until I came across that grandpa. He then noticed me and said, "How many times I told you to wait for me there! This child." and then he walked with me until I reached my house.

Girl: "Someone's following me, can you help me?" Old woman: "It's not our business" This is one of the main reasons why some of people dying due to being "raped or harassed" it's because "You already know what's happening around you but you can't speak for the justice, You already know what's happening around you but you still can't make a move to help someone who badly needed" “For me”, it doesn't matter if something bad happened to me.. But somehow I was able to take action just to help others, I will call someone for help or I'll shout, fight and run as long as I/We can. Anything has a way to Fight! Just don’t be afraid because in every problems there is always a solution. Be Brave enough to stand alone and Be Strong enough to fight alone. Be the voice of the voiceless! this happened to me when we move to our new house, I don't know a single person in that neighborhood and I was walking home from school when I notice these three guys (a little older than me) following me and I was wearing my earphone that time so I first turned off my music without them noticing it cause I wanted to hear their footsteps and I tried to go to a different direction that also leads to my home to check if they're really following me (don't worry there are some people walking on that street) and then these guys still following me and speed up like they were almost near me that I heard one of them say "walk beside her" my god and I started to get scared until my forgotten alarm clock on the phone started ringing and the sound of it is kinda ringtone so the first thing came up to my mind is act like I was talking to someone on the phone and said (w/ a not so loud voice enough to hear it) "Hello Pa (Dad)...uhmm... I'm almost there..." I thought they're gonna back off when they hear me talking to my dad but they did not so I level up my acting and continue talking to the phone "where? I can't see you, wait... (acting like I was looking for someone far)" and then I wave my spare hand at someone I don't know and said "Oh! I can see you now, I'm here!" I shouted and start running without looking back until I got home panting. I was so coward and scared that time and think crazy hahahaha well at least now I had a lot of different scripts on my mind🤣🤣🤣

My brother started to get irritated at me calling him at random times in the day, so he got me to record his voice and set my phone screen to the call screen so I could pretend I was talking to him on speakerphone. Very effective, it's probably saved my life a couple of times.

We didn't hesitate and guide her to the nearest convinient store. My bf having a big bro instict waited outside the store and approach the two guys who kept on following us. I'm not exactly sure what happened but the last thing i remembered the two guys running away very fast. When I asked him why did they run he said he's going to shoot them if they don't leave. I was once in a similar situation. I was waiting outside my cousins neighborhood for my grandmother, who was down the street at my brother's school for a recital, to come pick me up when this guy in a hoodie started walking towards me. I backed up not thinking anything of it since the area has a lot of foot traffic. But the guy changed his direction so he was walking towards me and I called my grandma in a panic. She told me to start walking back towards my cousins house and the guy followed me so I started running and he did too. He chased me all the way through the neighborhood. I had tried to get my families attention by knocking on the door but they didn't answer in time before the dude was two houses away so I had to run behind the buildings and he still chased me until I looped the neighborhood and made it to the strip mall across the street. My grandmother was on the phone with me the whole time and when she made it to me she was in tears which made me cry.
