I moved to SC to be near by my brother and my sister, in hope that we might be able to be together again. She's only 40 mins - not once she came to see my new home. My brother and I have been meeting for coffee or lunch or dinner once a week. He came to my house to watch my dog while I go away for vacations. I will never see my sister again. It's just the way it is. I think she's insincere. I've asked many times to meet up with her. I have stopped trying. I don't call her anymore. It's been total of 7 years. 3 years since I moved. It is sad. but why? I don't know what's her reason? My brother thinks it's all jealousy, she's always been that way. That's not my problem. She has more things in her life than I do. She has 3 beautiful children and husband to go to home, I don't. It's just me and my dog. What's there to be jealous of? That's crazy to throw away a sibling over senseless. Someday your siblings will come around when it's ready. God is with you all the time.

The sad thing in my situation is its my own 3 Daughters, We weren't just Mother and Daughters we were all best friends. Very close until my Husband and I were both diagnosed with Treminal illnesses and needed help. My Husband was very sick with Lung and Brain Cancer. They didnt visit call or text. When i did they seemed like they didnt have time. The last 4 weeks of his life he had to be in a nursing home. Then they came.i guess to be seen.im still here but never see them. We have one Son who never left our side.Hes living with me and does almost everything for me when i get bad. This has been so awful with the girls. I still cant believe it. I never thought in my wildest dreams they would be like this. There 41,38 and 35. My Son 44 and he was a cna for 12 years. So is very good with me. Im so Thankful. My Precious Husband of 49 years Died on my 65th Birthday January 2nd this year. We had such a blessed life together 5 Precious Children, our oldest Daughter is in Heaven with Him. 11 Precious Grandchildren. Sorry to ramble, Good to get it out.😢😢😢😢😢

I had a former best friend who I cared a great deal about as he was going through the very same things I was going through in life and tried to encourage him to continue onward, until one day he left a message saying because he doesn't have a university degree, and other things that were abusive, then calling me a a-hole. Al Anon teaches you can love someone dearly and still live a life yourself that isn't dependent on everything the other person is doing. Sometimes less clinging and just finding your own personal stability becomes healing for both of you.
