Power dynamics exists everywhere.. whether you like it or not... Ofc there are going to be bad examples as there are good examples as well It's impossible to pursue spirituality without a guru And i say this as an active pursuer I tried on my own, and then tried under a guru - and the difference spoke volumes

Why did you need a teacher to tell you what gravity and friction is when its all in front of your eyes anyways? I am sure you did not learn about the law of force by observation yourself. I am sure it was taught to you. This is because we humans have limited intellect power. It is the collective intellect of manyyy manyyyy before us who have searched for truth that we now possess the knowledge that we do.

People get Krishnamurti wrong, he maintained that he was not important and his main point is that each one has to learn about himself in order to have a good mind, to be intelligent, he didn't speak of enlightenment, because he knew ppl had preconceived ideas about that and were talking about their romantic idea of it, to be enlightened means a mind that can learn a mind that is not in decay, and can think, tho has put though at the "right place". After he dissolved the order of the star in the east he followed his own path and never did spoke about esoteric stuff or theoretical nonsense, he urged us the individual to look at their actual life and not at religious dogmas and so on, he talked about real life, not fantasy. Don't look about what others say about him, look at what he said instead. Go to the fountain.
