I would've cast, or my dream cast would be: Sanjeev Kumar as Akash Malhotra Shashi Kapoor as Sameer Dev Anand as Siddharth Sinha Rekha as Shalini Mumtaz as Pooja Sulochana Latkar as Tara Jaiswal Vinod Mehra as Rohit Mehmood as Mahesh Khulbushan Kharbanda as Mr Malhotra Lalita Pawar as Mrs Malhotra Iftekhar as Satyadev Mehta The film would be directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee or Ramesh Sippy. The music would be by RD Burman or Laxmikant Pyarelal. Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar and Mohammed Rafi would be the playback singer's for the 3 lead actor's. Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle would playback all the songs for the female leads. It would've been fantastic if Dil Chahta Hai was made back in the 70's or 80's with Sanjeev Kumar, Shashi Kapoor and Dev Anand as Akash, Sameer and Siddharth 👌👌👌💖💖💖.
