Shadow rap olive green top with the silver bottom looks EXACTLY like the baitfish in my river and I stock up on those. It's definitely a confidence bait. Catches giants and dinks and everything between. I love content that I can relate to and especially when I find out a pro of this caliber uses what I do. God I love bass fishing

Love me the Shadow Rap Shad... My buddies all throw the 110's and Reranges and give me a hard time about throwing Husky Jerks, X-Raps, Shadow Raps... Once we have ice out, I catch thousands of Largies and Smallies on them spring through fall... I've got lakes near me where if an angler knows what to look for, can catch hundreds of bass in a couple hundred yard stretch in spring and fall... We do have 1000 + lakes within 2 hours, but who's counting... The Shadow Rap Shad is my new favorite summer jerkbait over grass flats and over edges... and everybody's put theirs away til fall... I just play around with the hardware a bit to fine tune ~ Peace From Vilas County Wis ~

have had zero luck this winter looking for them in deep water up here in MA. had a 60* day yesterday so I decided to go into this big hydrilla flat and smoked them on a Swimbait. there was a 2-4 foot gap between the weeds and the top of the water. I was swimming it right above the weeds and the bass were shooting out of the hydrilla and slamming the Swimbait!. got a 4, 2 2's, lost a 5+ at the boat and had like 8 or 9 bites. weedless Huddleston shad is the real deal ppl.

With modern reels, giving rods, line and long casting ability do we use floro or mono to connect with the fish so far out. Is there a issue with them tearing off close to the boat with floro?
@assholebynature8884 жыл бұрын
I would only trust braid because of its extremely low stretch and sensitivity. I have missed too many bites and gotten some weak hooksets even with fluorocarbon coated P-line.

I feel you could also do this with some soft jerkbaits that way you don't have to spend your life savings on 4 lures
@Wired2Fish4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty easy recovering shallow running jerks if you do hang occasionally. Just might require some waders if shore fishing when the water is cold. Maybe the biggest benefit of a trebled lure is when the bass are nipping the bait or light striking. You catch plenty that are barely hooked when you'd have missed a lot of these with a bigger single hook, especially with a Texas-rigged fluke.
