Me too!!! Blessings from Oz!! This explains what Ken Johnson said about Enoch and the fallen angels before the flood asking him to pray for them as they became sorry for what they had done by taking human women. Enoch asked the Lord and had to tell them they would not be saved in the flood, they and their descendants would be destroyed and there was no repentance for them!! Explains why. Thanks guys!! You are so appreciated and loved by the remnant!!

Since we are talking about the Day of the Lord, Jesus said it in Rev 3:3; 16:5 and implied it Matt 24:43-44 that He will come like a thief _in the night._ Paul and Peter said it in 1Thess 5:2 and 2Pet 3:10 respectively that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. What does this tell you? Could the Scripture is giving us a hint that the rapture takes place simultaneous with the start of the tribulation?

The Septuagint is what the apostles most likely referred to. Some things were left out of the Masoretic from the council of Yavne. I think it was Rabbi Akiva that did not want anything pointing to Yshua as the Messiah

I believe they will. The church/bride of Christ is represented by the 24 elders. In Rev. 4 we read the saints are raptured, then are seated around the throne.

The "day of the Lord" is a very fascinating topic. It has many nuances. So, it is not easy to accurately grasp all what it means throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the New Testament, there are four major Scripture portions where this expression, "the day of the Lord" occurs. They are Acts 2:20, 1 Thes. 5:2, 2 Thes. 2:2 and 2 Pet. 3:10. All these verses are in one way or another associated with the second coming of the Lord in righteous judgment. So, it is not merely the day of His return and the day of His appearing but of the day of His coming to thoroughly judge as the Righteous Judge in order to deal with all persons and clear up all things. That should also tell us or at least hint to us that it cannot be a single 24 hour day. This is illogical. Ever since the rebellion of Satan and then the angels who followed him, and further of God's other creatures (pre-Adamic) on earth including created man, in the Old Testament, God's judgment also began with the angels (2 Pet. 2:3-4) and passed through the generations of man in the Old Testament (vv. 5-9). Although God's judgments had begun, it is not yet final, not yet the day of the Lord when everything should be judged, dealt with, and settled. So, we arrive at the New Testament age. In the New Testament age, God's judgment begins from the house of God, the church, God's own household (1 Pet. 1:17, 2:23, 4:6,17) and continues until the coming of the day of the Lord (2 Pet. 3:10) which will be a day of judgment on the Jews, the believers, and the Gentiles before the millennium. After the millennium, all the dead, including men and demons, and all other negative persons, things and matters will be judged at the great white throne and will perish, and the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire to be purged, purified and renewed. All these various and thorough judgments occur in what the New Testament call "the day of the Lord" , the day in which the Lord sits in judgment, not man and the Lord speaks the final word, not man. With respect to this "day of the Lord" that is coming, the apostle Peter says in verse 8 : "But do not let this one thing escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." This is the proper and Scriptural understanding. After the marvelous day of the Lord, everything that needs to be dealt with and judged has been thoroughly dealt with in final judgment. There will be nothing left in the universe to be dealt with, to be further judged. Everything is cleared up. Then eternity begins with the new heavens, the new earth and the New Jerusalem upon the new earth. The matter of "the day of the Lord' when properly studied is fascinating.

Great teaching, a real deep dive. I understand however that the sons of God did not "marry " the daughters, they "took" them by force. The word women and wives is the same word. We mustn't assume the daughters were agreeable. I can't see in the text that these poor young girls were compliant. The word marry doesn't appear, we shouldn't add our own context. Its not even a level playing field when the perpetrator has such power and authority over a mere girl😪 I wouldn't say Hamas had relationships with women in Israel.😔💔

Why is it that pretrib believers ignore the FACT that the “day of the Lord” begins at the opening of the 6th Seal? Compare to Joel 2:31. The sun and moon are disturbed just before the “day of the Lord” begins according to Joel 2:31, which is a parallel to the 6th seal in Revelation 6:12. It’s very easy to see the WHEN of the “day of the Lord” begins. Let’s not let people hide that biblical truth from God’s people. They need to know. ✝️🙏
@petergouvignon8048Ай бұрын
The day of the lord was at the end of the age in 70AD when prophecy ended when the old heavens and earth were destroyed!!!! When all that written was fulfilled Luk 21:22 ISV because these are the days of vengeance when all that is written will be fulfilled. And people were judged! 2Pe 3:7 ISV Now by that same word, the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire and are being kept for the day when ungodly people will be judged and destroyed.

This was excellent, not many people speak of these things and it is good to here. Perhaps, a second thought on Adam. The words rebellion was chosen. Yet he transgressed the law. Transgression and rebellion are quite different. There is quite the attitude, pride and a hardness of heart in rebellion. Transgression is a different heart attitude. He is a direct son of God, he walked and communed daily with the Most High. He knew the rules. He knew, he was told. I suspect if God showed others, the heavenly city, they must have at least talked about it. It is a big deal. I could be wrong...but I suspect he willfully took on that sin as he would not want his wife to die alone. He knew fully what he was doing. He would not the beautiful wife God gave him to die and die alone. But he could not redeem his bride. But the second Adam could redeem and take on that sin. If it was rebellion on Adam's part, the scriptures would have said so. But again, I could be wrong. This is what I suspect. Of course they hid, as they Adam would have told Eve....we are in trouble. He did not leave her alone, to face God in judgement. But these thoughts could be wrong. But why would you even want that title the Second Adam if the first was a rebellious man.

"Day of the Lord" -- God's Great Reset? 😉
@zoeashes634727 күн бұрын
I once thought that the "day of the Lord" (2 Pet. 3:10) is a single one 24 day event at the end of the present church age. This is my natural concept. I should neither understand nor interpret the New Testament according to this superficial concept. 2 Pet. 3: 8 says that with the Lord (that is the day of the Lord), one day is like a thousand years. The day of the Lord should span one thousand human time years at least and maybe a little more. Verse 10 says the "day of the Lord" will come as a thief" ... and verse 12 says "hastening and expecting the day of God." Just as no thief pre-announces his coming, we cannot know the exact day or hour the day of the Lord arrives, that is begins. This is because the day of the Lord begins or starts with the coming of the Lord as a thief (Rev. 3:3, 16:15) before the great tribulation which precedes His open coming and public appearing at the end of the great tribulation three and a half years later. And it does not end at the last day of this age when Christ comes to sit on His throne of glory on earth to judge all the nations but at the end of the coming millennium at the great white throne judgment. In the New Testament, the word "day" as in the "day of the Lord" is used mainly in the sense of righteous divine judgment for God's governmental dealings with the Jews, the believers, and the Gentiles ... before the millennium ... and with the dead, the demons, and with the Devil all other negative persons (Rev. 20:10, 12-15; 21:8) at the end of the millennium. Before the Lord comes to earth, it is "man's day" on earth, in which man sits in judgment, judges unrighteously and have the final word as Paul says in 1 Cor. 4:3-5). Then, it will be "the day of the Lord," which will begin with the Lord's parousia (presence) as in Matt. 24:3 with all its judgments (Matthew chapters 24 and 25). Since "the day of the Lord" is God's judgment upon man, touching man himself directly, it should begin just after the opening of the sixth seal and at the opening of the seventh seal whose contents are the seven trumpets in Revelation chapter 8. The first four trumpets are judgments but still not judgments that directly touch man. They are merely severe judgments on the earth, on the sea, on the rivers, and on the sun, moon, and stars. The last three trumpets, beginning from the fifth trumpet are judgments on man. In the fifth trumpet, men is severely tormented for five months with a torment that is so excruciating that they seek death. In the sixth trumpet, men is killed over a period of one year, one month and one day. Rev. 8:1 : "And the fifth angel trumpeted, and I say a star out of heaven fallen to the earth, and to him was given the key to the pit of the abyss." This verse tells us when "the day of the Lord" begins ... when Satan, the great red dragon, is cast out of heaven to the earth with his angels (Rev. 12:9) to meet up with the Antichrist and his released demonic hordes that come up from the pit. This is at the beginning of the three and a half years great tribulation. At that time Christ, as another strong Angel, has started to come down out of heaven (Rev. 10:1) in a royal process that will take about three and a half years to set his feet on Mount Olives.

The angels were created on day 1, when God created Heaven and earth. The earth was just water (h20) nothing else, because it was VOID of life. By the time God created the foundations of the earth, which are the foundation rocks under us, the angels were already created, standing there rejoicing at the foundations forming. It's just simple language lads.

This was totally confusing to me. It sounds like you are saying that the work of Jesus is not finished, atonement is not complete, death and the devil have not been defeated and made an open show of. Jesus Himself spoke to His disciples and told them that their generation would see all the things they asked Him about and He outlined for them, including His coming and the end of the age. Since the end of the age occurred in the first century and we are living in the kingdom of God that Jesus said was here, and we are currently ruling with Him from the heavenly places, you can see why the confusion. We are living in the new heaven and new earth, and it is an adventure experiencing it in temporal flesh bodies.
