But you need to stop making these comments all encompassing. NOT every Black person has been treated badly in life and NOT all white people are racist. I have met a number of very racist Black people in my life, and not because they have been ill treated. And on top of that, my original comment had nothing to do with the human race!

I had a horse that would leap over her gate to come get me when I was in my teens. My mom hated it, because she would leave hoof prints in the lawn. Sometimes she would scrape her knees jumping over the fence to come down to the house where I was. She was the love of my life as a teenager more than any boy could be.

I have a tripod cat that was so abused by his previous owner that he lost his Rt back leg. I rescued him right after surgery. He has his own room with tubes that lead to all of our rooms throughout the house. When I get home from work at 6pm, he is waiting for me by the door with my slippers. I love my fur baby!!

That’s so sweet that he waits for you to come home every evening. I love coming home to my two cats waiting to greet me. I’m sorry that he had to go through losing a leg to find the furever home and purrent he was destined for but I’m so glad you found each other and that he’s living his best life now. Had my heart horse save my life one time. I was galloping with her in a preserve when a deer jumped out of a clump of bushes. I fell off; broke my collarbone and some ribs. I couldn’t get back on her so after a few minutes she galloped away. Hazel left the wildlife preserve how you normally do, going by a house where everyone was sitting on their porch. They rushed to saddle their horses and immediately started searching for me. Meanwhile, my friend was driving to the place where the horses are kept, and he caught her right away. Jim got on her back and followed the neighbours in…….. and then gave Hazel free rein. She brought him straight to me. As he was using saddle strings to make a sling for a sling, the neighbours came over. A couple of them stayed with us; giving me water and bundling me up. It was already cold and the sun was setting. The other neighbours went to direct the ambulance (they had called one). By the time I got to the road, the ambulance was waiting. Jim took Hazel home, untacked and groomed her. I had been begging the EMT to call Jim to give her a treat……. I plan on writing a childrens’ book about it from Hazel’s point of view someday.

Getting close to wild animals is just about sincerity. You also need to respect that they are wild. If they want, they will come to you in their own time. Plenty of videos of humans who don't understand what wild really means, and they get hurt when intruding into the animals bubble. Just like with other humans, you can't force friendship with animals.

I use to have two dogs and three cats. I hated going away for more than a day, because of the way the five would react to me coming home. they would all smoother me. not the wife or kids, just me. It would take days before they would allow me to be by myself. couldn't sit on the couch or in a chair cause they were all over me. two days on the floor with them as close to me as they could get. now that I don't have any pets, I miss that love.

It was so touching seeing that dog helping that lady. I kept saying it’ll be OK it’ll be OK. Your dog has your back and to see her calm slightly because of her dog give me tears. I have anxiety and my two cats crowd on me to calm me. Cat number two helped me through a severe depression in 1995 after my fiancé died suddenly of a heart attack. Only to eat and litter box did he leave me. I never would’ve made it without my Taco. His ashes canister is in my bedroom. I’m not good with thunderstorms and my late dog, my past and now my present cats helped me through them. Just the presence of my two cats even when they’re napping keeps my anxieties down to near zero.

What a friendly porcupine. I’ve never seen a real porcupine in real life, it to see this is just makes me all warm and fuzzy. Reminds me of when I went to the nearby metro parks with my now long late fiancé. A wild and very pregnant raccoon wanted some of our hot dog bread. Nothing special right? Has anyone had a wild and very pregnant wild raccoon crawl on your lap and eat on your lap? I didn’t pet her of course but to have a wild raccoon on my lap eating was wow! The next time we went the raccoon I named Roberta waddled up to me for some hot dog buns totally ignoring Mike. All of a sudden a raccoon ran at me. I’d never seen him before, and Roberta chased him away. I was her human. It was so touching. I gave her an extra hot dog bun that she crawled on my lap for. I thanked her and she waddled off. I never saw her again. She had to give birth and raise her kids. So when I see this wild porcupine being so friendly it reminded me of my wild Roberta. I have a soft spot for raccoons thanks to Roberta. I have a raccoon figurine I named after her.
