Before Book of Boba Fett, Black Krrsantan had a run in with Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker on the desert world of Vrogas Vas. Working for Darth Vader, the wookie bounty hunter was trying to bring Luke back to the Sith Lord, but Chewie wouldn't let his friend go without a fight. The resulting battle nearly killed Chewie, and was ... in my opinion... far cooler than anythign we've seen Boba Fett do yet.

Chewie was also a military leader and warrior with plenty of close quarter combat experience.

The Aphra story line would make an amazing TV series. Might be a little too adult for Disney but there's a treasure trove of material there.

This was in a story arc called "Vader Down" which started with a special 1-off comic called "Vader Down", and then continued in the 2015 volumes of Darth Vader and Star Wars that Marvel Comics put out. You can buy it as a TPB, or the individual issues. I think Marvel has it on Unlimited... that's where I first read it. Thanks again for stopping by!

The fact that Chewie is on-par with Krrsantan's deadly strength is incredible. I always assumed Krrsantan was deadlier than Chewie merely on the basis that Krrsantan looks more intimidating, but now that I've seen Chewie can take him on, it really makes me appreciate Chewie's kind heart despite having such deadly strength. Hopefully Krrsantan has a good change in Book of Boba that shows his more soft-side, since he's now on Boba's team. Krrsantan may become more than a brute bounty-hunter if he continues to side with Boba's mission of making a new family of former-bounty-hunters that respectfully govern Tatooine and possibly other reaches of the Outer Rim. Side note, the fact Boba can tank hits from Krrsantan is insane. Boba's strength is apparent even when he's recovering in the bacta-tank and being sneak-attacked while having his treatment without any armor or weapons. And I used wondered if Boba was lucky that Krrsantan didn't just shoot him, but the show later confirmed that Krrsantan with his knuckle-dusters are far deadlier than him just having a blaster. Boba seems to have brute-strength in his own right, like when we saw him demolish Stormtrooper with melee alone.

Have you checked out the Doctor Aphra comic series, volume 1? There are some really great Black Krrsantan stories there... he's basically like a meaner, but kinda loyal, version of Chewie to Doctor Aphra.

He ran off to go help Leia, who was facing off against Darth Vader at the time. Adn he was basically level 1, it was really shortly after the first death star run, so was far weaker than he was in Episde 5 or 6

Krrsantan ragdolled the Vespa Gang and the Gamorreans, and wasn’t stopped until Fennec used the Rancor Pit Trap, which still almost didn’t stop him. Once the Vespa Gang and the Gamorreans turned up to defend Boba though, Krrsantan knew that he had to get out of there before Fennec showed up and/or Boba properly recovered and got his gear

@@layeredchips6173 hey man I'm hopeful the show does well but hard to defend Krrsantan not blasting Boba inbstead of fighting him hand to hand, dumb move. They should have come up wuth another way to start that fight, thats my only gripe

@@elusivefella8314 Isn't it possible the Hutts didn't want it to be that simple? Boba continued the "mockery" of their past power by holding that throne. Why hire a former gladiator, whose kills were to entertain, to make a simple kill? It'd make sense to make a mess of Boba; to send a message of brutality (like Jabba's droid suggested with the Gamorreans) to all other challengers, after formally warning him in front of witnesses.

Chewy was never weak, just a nice guy. But at the end of the day, he was a true and blue wookie, honorable and powerful and terrifyingly viscous in full combat. As well, chewy was equaling black k whilst poisoned....chewy was beyond black k full stop.
