For everyone saying Australian burnout this and American burnout that, keep in mind, there are hundreds of EPA laws banning burnouts like this, spilling a little bit of oil on the ground can be a $1000 fine or more, but not less. I can assure you, there's atleast half as much oil spilled in an Aussie burnout contest as there is rubber on the ground, which I believe is also an EPA laws.

I think the tittle should be changed to "Australian burnout competition best moments" really. I was expecting to watch some jerks ruin their perfectly nice production cars in a humiliating fashion to cheer me up, not burnout expert with their souped up race street rods. When the purpose of the competition is to do the best most impressive burnout (most stressful thing you can put a car through), fire, explosions and crashes are either planned or to be expected, not really surprising accidents. Its like having a compilation of monster trucks breaking an axle during freestyle and calling the video "When monster trucking goes bad" :P

Seems Jamie Heineman and Adam Savage of Myth Busters never saw any of these videos. One of their episodes tested whether spinning your tires could cause them to catch fire. Nope was their result. But then neither of them is Australian.
@psk57465 жыл бұрын
Surely its real axle seal failure that causes the fire ... ?
@tomcline56314 жыл бұрын
Nope,I couldn't believe that episode either! Smoke burns, people!!! All smoke is ,is unburnt particles in hot gases. Ever opened the lid on your BBQ grill and the smoke rolls out and then explodes? That's a smoke explosion or backdraft. Blow a candle out,ok,hold a match or lighter in the smoke trail at about 3 or 4 inches over the wick,it will burn back down the smoke and relight the candle. Now when these knuckleheads are spinning these tires at ungodly rpms,they start to smoke,they then keep spinning the tires,they keep getting hotter,and poof the smoke reaches ignition temps and presto!!! Flamin burnout!!! Really,try it out,take anything that burns with a heavy thick smoke,let it get rolling and then introduce fire of some sort in the smoke column and watch it ignite! Cool ass shit right there!!! Former professional firefighter,here.
