Janette and her family invited me into their home when my parents went back to India as missionaries. I've always loved her and any 'fame or fortune' has not changed her from being the humble, sweet person she has always been. God bless her and bless you for interviewing her!

My mother started buying them with book 1. I was 10 and she would buy them as they came out and I got to read them second. She passed away in 2015 and I received all of her Janette Oke books. I grew up and was shaped by Love Comes Softly, Canadian West, once Upon a Summer. I began my writing career with prairie romance in 2000. I honor her with all my heart

Years ago I asked the librarian in my hometown for books that were uplifting and wholesome reading materials. She immediately told me to read “Live Comes Softly”. I read it! It touched my heart so I continued to read her other books. I’m so grateful that she shared her writing talent in a way that Gid was pleased! Thank you!❤

I have a hardback flip book collection of Janette Oke’s books. I read them as a teenager then again as an adult. I plan to read them again someday. I have seen a few episodes of the show but I didn’t have cable or a way to watch it for years. I will someday binge watch every season. This is the first interview I have seen of Mrs. Oke. She sounds exactly how I imagined the characters in her books would. I’m so excited for her to be writing a new book. I just wish my best friend who gave me that set was here to see and read it. She passed away on the 6th of last month. She loved all Janette’s books.

I love, love, LOVE Janette Oke’s books…every single one. My favorite is the Canadian West series, with Love Comes Softly a close second. I started reading them as a young girl, around 10 years old, because both my grandmas and my mom read them. I still have the book, Spunky’s Diary, given to me by my grandma. I’m so thankful for the influence of Janette’s books in my faith journey, as well as how her writing has been a ministry that’s reached millions around the world. I’ve had a dream for awhile to write children’s books based on faith in Jesus and growing closer to him, and my inspiration has come from Janette and other similar Christian authors.

There are so many kinds of literature available, today, and a lot of it is not about Christian values. Janet Oke has presented quality stories that are appropriate for all generations, in our times. I have purchased whole sets, of a series, and I follow the people contained in these stories as if they are neighbors, and I am sharing their stories. I can present these stories to my family, and friends, without any worries that there may be something not fit for our lives. God bless this dear lady and I thank her for books that are wholesome, and uplifting.

The true Pioneer of Christian fiction for women is not very well known today. Her name was Grace Livingston Hill. She wrote contemporary novels in the early 1900s up until the 1940s. A few of her books were historical and set in the 1800s but most of them were contemporary. She was a wonderful writer and wrote over a hundred books. Then I believe there was a huge gap in this type of writing until Jeanette Oake came on the scene. These two women are two of my favorite writers of all time

Knowing that their stories were conceived with the desire to share God's light and bring comfort to hearts in search of truth fills me with awe. Please accept my most sincere thanks for the impact your work has had on my spiritual journey, even before I started reading it. Would like to hear her and her agents talk about the dramatic adaptations of the LCS series for Moody Radio. Late 80s/90s. Those characters really came alive for me in that way, though I also read the books one by one, waiting eagerly as each one came to my library! The thing I like the best about the Love Comes Softly series is that each book can be read as stand-alone novels or in sequence as a series. JO is an artist at connecting you with the previous stories regardless of when events took place in time. Many contemporary writers fail to understand that concept and how valuable it is for a reader. I find it very frustrating to read a book that is part of a series and find on the last page that some of the subplots laid forth are not resolved in the book being read. The next book begins exactly where the previous one ended. With JO, The next book may be an entire generation later than the previous book, but you don't lose anything because she fills in all the details as she tells the new story. It makes the readers feel as if they were there the entire time. It is also a lot more interesting that way. It gives the reader the opportunity to cover multiple generations, experiences, locations, and cultural changes.

Dear Mrs. Janette Oke, I hope this message finds me well. My name is Mariza Cristina Veloso, and I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the impact that your work Love Comes Softly has had on my life. Recently, I went through a period of great changes and reflections. After the end of a significant relationship, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and a search for spiritual reconnection. In the midst of this transition, I had a dream in which the title of your book was revealed to me. I confess that until that moment I was unfamiliar with your work, but I felt that this was a divine inspiration, a call to explore the themes of faith, resilience and love that you so beautifully address in your writing.
