For me personally, i used to idolize so many people but then as i grew a lot older, i started to realize that they are all just human. They were always human beings, of course but it's just that sometimes the masses put celebrities on this high pedestal to the point they become this other thing that isn't human-like. Like a god of sort.. I still do "idolize" celebrities but on a more human level. I see them as human because that's what they are :)

Idk Mariah's personality is why I like her so much; she fought to be an artist and not some basic pop act. She put real rappers in her songs even though she was begged by execs not to, and in the beginning of her career she said, "I'll sign anything you want me to as long as I'm not singing nobody else's mf songs." She is a real artist in an industry that perfers you to be a puppet. That is also why she is not supported by the industry; if they cannot control you, they will try and ruin you, but Mariah already wrote so many great hits they could not stop her. I truly felt Nicki Minaj on meeting Lauryn Hill! The bowing down was not an exaggeration, Lauryn has earned that even outside her music career.
