@@Kebein. well we got confirmation from LoR that *IF* Garen and Kat ever met one another, they would eventually develop a relationship with each other. But since in the canon universe they’ve never actually seen each other up until this point, it was not in the official lore before. Edit: Or maybe there was a ship but it was before Riot made the Universe, either way Garen Kat has been shipped by fans for a long time, and now it’s finally real.

Really hope Garen's and Darius' relationship and interactions expand more. They seem like extremely awkward friends who claim to hate each other, but really tolerate each other thanks to their similarities.

they are pretty much each other reflection. both right hand man and friend with the chief of state of their country, attaining that position through merit in the most natural way in their respective cultures, they both embody their countries value and are considered living symbols for them, they both have had an inner conflict between a loved one and their personal duty, they have a similar positive attitude toward those they command. they even act similarly in combat, both strong and tough humans wielding a large two handed weapon and heavy armor, spear heading the offense of the troops they lead. and in game they have same role, same runes and items needs, similar strengths and weaknesses, they both have a spinning attack as their signature basic ability, and have a true damage ultimate meant to execute low health targets.

Darius is someone who came on top with dedication and hard work, Garen was a guy already in one of the most important family in demacia. Of course Garen is a hard worker but its still like comparing a f2p (Darius)and a p2p (Garen)

@@farzalou2154 that's what i meant by "most natural way". demacia tends to be about noble families, and noxus about about rising through the ranks. they both embody their own culture in that aspect, they are not weird occurrences, they are the way every single person int heir country would expect someone to rise to their rank. and being absolutely normal in something is a bit more noticeable when we take into account that they are more or less written as main characters of their story, for such characters the (social) exception tend to be the (narrative) norm.

@@farzalou2154 Except Garen earned his stripes through hard work and undeniable skill, not because he is a Crownguard. He didn't grow up as an orphan no, but he went through very harsh training and was a soldier going on campaigns, since he was 12. He was unanimously nominated and accepted as Captain of the Dauntless Vanguard by the men he fought beside at age 18/19. Taking away all of that just because he didn't starve on the streets as a child is a disservice to the character.

This is also what pushed him to do what he did in Lux comic. But fan fact, he can't tie knots. Really, if you watch warrior cinematic his sword is held by bolt strap.

I kinda hoped they would make Citria into a new champ (when they said they will make more LoR exclusive champ) and when I saw the empowerment mechanic it would fit her perfectly when she would evolve through her stages with it (while she would have some kind of grow mechanic maybe like Yuumi +1/+1 each round or so) - she is kinda wholesome as character, despite being part of the cringe elite deck :Z.
