It's especially that these interactions were written years BEFORE the release of Arcane and therefore the whole background around Jinx and Vi. Until the release of Arcane, we only knew that Jinx "claimed" (we can never be sure of anything with her) to have a sister who was "even crazier than her". A lot of people thought it was Vi, but there was no proof and most of the interactions between Jinx, Caitlyn and Vi boiled down to one criminal taunting two police officers.

@@Semilamist To be fair Arcane is a prequel to League, so some characters have the opportunity to develop into their League selves (particularly Viktor). But yeah a lot of fundamental background stuff doesn’t work for a lot of them, though I feel this is worst in Vi. Considering Arcane has her as a victim of police brutality, it’s weird for most of her lines in League to boil down to “haha police brutality funny”. Vi as an Enforcer *can* work even with her Arcane self, but I don’t see Arcane Vi ever fully becoming League Vi unless they go for that stupid amnesia thing again.

Before they weren't as in depth and didn't have to think of them on such a large scale tied together. Besides, Arcane is definitely far before League due to their ages so they would still develop further.

Edit: Since people are explaining to me that Arcane takes place before the league lore and thus the diffrence in attitudes... I know guys, I've played the game for over 10 years, I've been there for these characters releases when Vi and Jinx were only speculated to be sisters. I do think that it's a huge leap for Vi to turn her attitude around this drastically. There's also the fact that arcane isn't a 100% in line with the canon lore so we should be looking at some retcons in the game lore, since we know they've done it numerous times before (what have you done to Zac riot, we will not forget). It's also worth noting that the game takes place in somewhat of an alternate universe which is even noted by some characters and not all the voice lines are accurate to the actual champion lore. Some examples of this are them breaking the 4th wall, others are actual unplanned discrepencies between voice lines and lore existing due to lore retcons that weren't implemented into the game voiceover or just not caring about the differences. Now I do not play lor but I think it's safe to assume that this is also the case for that game. I just found it interesting how the show portrayed their dynamics vs how the game does.

The explanation for that is that when Vi and Jinx came out, Arcane wasn't planned. The concept of Arcane began developing around 2015 according to the sources. And Ekko came out by that time. You can see Powder on Ekko's shrine in his trailer. While none of Vi's and Jinx's promotion materials feature each other.
