While an important subject it isn't subject, it isn't only the Super-Charismatic fellows that get the trinity model wrong. The reason is always the same They do not have the Spirit of Truth and hence people will glide away from the truth. No humane theology can fix it. Now they can see the errors of the other guys, but they don't see the errors with themselves. (We are all like this at some stage, when not being in the Spirit of Truth).

@metapolitikgedanken6128 ай бұрын
@@KingdomBuilders23 "but a Pastor can send you to Hell" Indeed they can not. But what they can do is priming you for it. They can indeed lead you astray and often many of them are deceived to do exactly that. It's a bit like in Mt 23:13-15 and surrounding areas. If the fundamentals aren't they and they spin their own story (not always visible).. Look for another group. But I think that one needs to be rather clear on what to look for. Do they give full gospels. Are signs visible? Now there is groups, that don't have signs yet, but than they should at least have gospel for starters and no excuses why they have not.

My wife continues to believe some of their teachings. My son has fallen prey to Craig grochel teaching. Sad
@metapolitikgedanken6128 ай бұрын
@@TimothyWhelly The problem is that they are mixing true statements with false ones, but mostly give true statements a spin that they shouldn't have. Their opponents often aren't better than that. So that creates a bit of cognitive dissonance with people. The prospel-charismatics try to postulate the Holy Spirit into anything that seems to be exiting. While the Cessationist camp simply assumes it into anyone that agrees with them on their key postulates. Both assumptions can be untrue an are even likely to be untrue. An there is even a common denominator between the two camps. And that is their idea that because they profess faith (according to their own idea), they are sufficiently equipped to receive the Holy Spirit and to walk in the Spirit. Well, that's not what the apostolic letters say neither is it what Christ taught in the gospel-texts. You have to subtract important parts of the text. Key issue there is ignoring the requirement to have 'died with Christ'. To crucify the passions of the Flesh with Christ. Because this is required to become part of the resurrection. First an Foremost spiritual resurrection. When it says 'Faith comes by hearing'. The preacher must have the Holy Spirit himself. Otherwise even formally true statements aren't to any avail. The thing is that those matters aren't really investigate thoroughly. The assumption is that 'We are goo Christians' so, even if we are not perfect, God will still bless our ministry. Well, not so fast. If that is true, why are there so many ministries an churches that go into a wrong direction? Now to the secular audience this will look like that the Gospel is entirely useless, using the Christians as an argument against Christ.

The compliant affirm the supposed rightness of the teaching, while the backsliders aren't believed. Well, leave. Try finding a better ministry. From experience I know that this isn't easy at all.

Having come out of the Charismatic Movement, I would not label Piper as a charismatic. He’s a continuationist. Big difference in practice. Charismatics also don’t consider him to be one of them. He’s far too exegetical and biblical for their tastes.
@JimiSurvivor3 ай бұрын
You may not label Piper a CHARISMATIC but you are not using the word as it is defined according to its historic Greek origins. Instead you are IMPORTING ideas INTO the word from your own idiosyncratic experience. The word charismatic describes a Christian can still receive the supernatural GRACES "charismata" mentioned in the NT (e.g., wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues). If Piper believes these gifts still exist then, by definition, he is "CHARISMATIC." A CONTINUATIONIST is someone who believes those gifts DID NOT CEASE in the earliest centuries of the Church. Thus, because Piper believes in the gifts and that they continue he is, BY DEFINITION, both a Charismatic AND a Continuationist. This is a fact regardless of how you FEEL about it or how you WISH it were. We cannot alter reality by altering the words we use to represent them. For instance, you may not CHOOSE to call a rock a "ROCK" but that is what it is, nevertheless. "Charismatics also don’t consider him to be one of them." I believe in the spiritual gifts and I have no problem accepting Piper as a brother in the Lord who also does. Thus your broad sweeping statement that no charismatic considers Piper to be one is also shown to be false. You are just making gratuitous assertions 'He’s far too exegetical and biblical for their tastes.' My problem with Piper is that he is Reformed which no one before the Catholic father Augustine believed until 500 years AFTER the Apostles.

When speaking of the Kenosis heresy as taught by the Word of Faith, that if all that Jesus did he did as a man and not as God then the bigger problem I have is IF you carry that out to a logical conclusion then it opens the door to the possibility of ANY man in right enough relation with God being able to do what Jesus did. In other words we didn't need a saviour who was divine, but rather merely a man who had a right relationship with God. This is even as they teach in effect...if Jesus did as a man so we could do as He did then why couldn't a man do as Jesus did to defeat Satan? If Jesus did what He did on Calvary ONLY as a man then why couldn't any other man potently do the same thing? If Jesus wasn't divine, or technically acknowledging He was divine with lip service, but didn't walk in His divine nature but merely only his human nature, then potentially what makes Him special above any other man? The idea of Him being fully man and fully God eludes them in that they try to "compartmentalize" his humanity and divinity form one another and somehow empower humanity to the status of what only divinity could have done. This is robbing Jesus of His Divinity and enabling man to do what ONLY God in the flesh could accomplish. If Jesus only did what He did as human, then I see this giving power to the rest of humanity to do the same thing as merely "human" too.

Who said the false Prophets are Christians. Matthew 7 Jesus himself not every who says Lord, Lord will enter God's Kingdom. False Prophets and teachers said but we Prophesied in your name and did signs and wonders in your name. Then Jesus said depart from me you workers of iniquity/ sin Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is not. I'm sick and tired of so called Christians who do not discern the false and declare everyone a Christian without looking at Thier fruit as Jesus taught.

Words have meaning! I personally don't give these teachers "I know what they meant" because they have plenty of time to research and choose their words. They need to step down because they don't know/ care about theology or teaching. They are nothing but glorified motivational teachers not Christian Pastors! I thank God for men like Chris who are real pastors and actually care about people enough to study and spend time in God's word.

Who coined the word trinitas or trinity and who formulated the doctrine of the trinity?
@lellyt23728 ай бұрын
@@Post-Trib find out for yourself from someone qualified to tell you. I am just an ordinary Christian woman. Find yourself a learned pastor, a man who can rightly divide the word of God and he will be able to answer your question. Unless of course you are just looking for an excuse to deny the trinity which is why you are asking someone who literally commented that they do not fully comprehend it and cannot fully explain it. Sounds like you want a way to deny rather than information. Be honest in your questions and the Lord God will provide an answer in the form of one of His pastors or teachers. I am not one, just a lowly servant who knows her Master's voice
@Post-Trib8 ай бұрын
@@lellyt2372 I already know the answer. It has to be asked in order to force people who are being lied and lying to themselves that this doctrine is biblical when it's not. Tertullian coined the term trinitas and formulated the doctrine. It's a man-made doctrine. It's pagan, idolatry and the worship of demons.
@theeternalsbeliever17798 ай бұрын
It does make the trinity untrue. It also means you're not doing your due diligence. In 1 Thess. 5:21, Paul says that a Christian must prove ALL things. If the trinity is true(and it isn't), then the Bible would mention it and explain how it works. Furthermore, Jesus and Paul wouldn't both be seen saying that Father is greater in authority. The fact that the Father is greater in authority means the trinitarian theory collapses like a house of cards.

The water analogy can be confusing. There's an experiment called "triple point of water" that can be all 3 simultaneously. Liquid, solid,gas. Mike Todd may be separating them , therefore teaching modelism. Not 1+1+1 , but triune 1x1x1. Dr Walter Martin discusses this in ("Kingdom of the Cults" part 3) around minute 52.
@tammywilliams-ankcorn95337 ай бұрын
I’m a trinitarian and have used the water analogy. I didn’t know it could be modalism until about 15 years ago. For me H2O has 3 liquid, solid, vapor-I mean ice not dry ice) in 1 because you have all 3 at the same time and they can interact with each other. If you boil an ice cube you have all 3 states, all the same substance, all equal. It’s not perfect, but I don’t know why it’s modalism. The steam doesn’t cease to exist just because there is liquid in the pot. I think it’s important to be able to explain things to children in a way that makes some sense.

@davidgaston68598 ай бұрын
The problem is they aren't responsible. They always throw in the "grace" card when it comes to biblical accuracy with false prophets. Why? Because they are pacifists when they want to be and judgemental towards those who want to hold those false prophets accountable to the Word of God. In my opinion the people you just listed are the most dangerous because they are the "bridge" that holds the Charismatic community up and allows false teachers to walk that bridge over but when someone comes along to dismantle the bridge the trolls that are under the bridge run them away. Those trolls are who you listed. They are double tongued and slick talkers.

Thanks for another great teaching video, Pastor Chris and brother Daniel. As you point out, Jesus performed the miracle of changing water into wine as the God-man, since he "manifested his glory". However, I would like your view on the question: what was the role of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' ministry ? Just after his anointing by the Holy Spirit we read in Luke 4 "And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil". Then later in verse 14 we read "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee". People will read into this that the Holy Spirit led Jesus and gave him the essential power to perform miracles (refuted in Jean 2:11, as you point out) In Acts 10:38 we read "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.". People will read into this that it was the Holy Spirit who gave Jesus healing power. Apart from these there are very few mentions (see list below) of the action of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of Jesus - it is just kind of assumed by charismatics. So if Jesus' miracles can also be attributed to the Son of God rather than the Holy Spirit, what was the role of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' ministry ? Here is a list of references I compiled regarding the action of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus. I couldn't find any more. Mat 1:18-20, Luke 1:35 (conceived by the Holy Spirit) Mat 3:16, Mark 1:10, Luke 3:22, John 1:32 (at his baptism) John 3:34 (God gives the Spirit without measure) Luke 4:1 (filled with the Holy Spirit) Mat 4:1, Mark 1:12, Luke 4.1 (led by the Holy Spirit) Luke 4:14 (in the power of the Holy Spirit) Luke 4:18-19 (the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, quoting Isaiah) Mat 12:18 (I put my Spirit upon him, quoting Isaiah) Mat 12:28, Luke 11:20 (chasing demons by the Spirit / finger of God) Luke 10:21 (rejoiced in the Holy Spirit) Acts 1:2 (gave commands by the Holy Spirit) Acts 10:38 (anointed with the Holy Spirit and power)

Thank you for the link to Chris’s informative lecture “Resistance Is Futile.” I’d like to know more about Peter Drucker’s influence on not only Rick Warren, etc., but now also on the NAR. There is some moving toward emphasizing “community” in my mainstream denomination church, and it seems off but I haven’t understood why. That fascism is totally about the group and individualism doesn’t exist seems to be creeping in. Yet, we are all born as individuals and each of us will die as individuals….

For the most biblically accurate churches, focus on conservative, reformed, Presbyterian churches that adhere to the Westminster confession of faith along with teaching the larger and shorter catechisms from Westminster. You also want one that holds Sunday evening services as well and preferably a senior pastor that has graduated from the sound, reformed seminaryand this may be even published. Very important you get this decision right you don’t even want to get the baptism issue wrong like so many people who go to Baptist churches do ones essentially Baptist without that name on its sign.
