Laura coming with the heat in another video! Nice. Towards the start of this generation I strongly believed that Xbox would need a solid plan to manage all of their studios as their acquisitions increased. With the ABK deal done, I believe this is even more true. For the next 7 or so years of this generation, Xbox could deliver a huge uppercut if they properly execute on consistent content delivery and quality. It's like having all of your chips lined up. I think they can't afford to land in the same position at the end of this generation as they did in the last, and ideally at the start of next they enter from a position of strength and will be well-oiled and ready to come in blazing. What are your thoughts on the optimum level of involvement from Microsoft into their studios? Hovering, periodic, case-by-case?

I take the approach of trust but verify and case by case so it scales. Playing a build of the game will tell you a great deal about how things are going. :)

Another Jedi video! I love these industry deep dives. I am dying for your take on what recently happened at Bungie. Any competent therapist will tell you that when the trust is broken in a relationship, often the relationship is irreparable. Bungie management has really broken the trust with the Destiny community. And until there’s accountability from the management, I think that trust will remain broken. How do you fire your composer which has been the architect of the emotional heart beat of your IP and not let him collect his stocks?? I would love to hear your take. Can’t wait for the next one! 🤘
