But by the way she asked the supervisor if she should return and how he then responded shows how good cops like her don't even get the respect they deserve even from the colleagues and superiors in some cases. I dearly hope he apologized later to her at least after he checked the video.

If you work in a store, you can put some goods aside, so no one buys them. If you work ANYWHERE, you get certain benefits, because you know the workers, and you are like a family. in every profession there are benefits. If cops pull over another cop for some mild shit, they will just let him go, thats the benefit of being a cop. So why arent we talking shit about other professions, that to THE SAME THING on daily basis?

Power corrupts. These politicans and their mindset is the standard. They consider themselves above the law. It's also the same for the 1 percent extremely rich in America. Martin Hyde in the meantime, lost his election, and his ex-gf called the police this past week to report an argument with Hyde, telling the police she believes he may be suicidal. This privileged shitstain got exactly what he deserved. What an arrogant pos, telling her he doesn’t have his registration, then producing it after she walks back to his vehicle.. Then tries playing this while game of “I had it the whole time, what’s she writing me a ticket for!?” I love the fact that it was expired anyway and would have still been a ticket regardless 😂 All he had to do was be courteous and accept the ticket and with his contact’s (and being a political scumbag) he probably could have made it go away. How professional is Officer Beskin btw?! She was never rude, never made any kind of comment that could have escalated the situation as he sat there threatening to have her career. Hard to believe that something like this 30 years ago long before the first traffic cop turned on their body camera, scumbag’s like this guy prevailed more often then not, as it would have been his word against her’s.

For those that don’t know: The female cop from the first Video, Julie Beskin, still works as a police officer in Sarasota. Her boss, Frangioni, also featured in the video, has a terrible track record. He was charged with misdemeanor battery in October of 2013, in 2012 he arrested a homeless man who was charging his phone in a park and charged that man with “theft of city utilities” (Im not kidding) which he received a ton of backlash for. They eventually dismissed him from the job because they caught him lying during the battery charges case but due to union protections and a two year battle in the courts they overturned his dismissal AND GAVE HIM HIS OLD JOB BACK 🤬 so he’s unsurprisingly always been a POS.

You hope it is used to keep everyone safe, to keep everyone honest, to document the stop not just for court but to also prevent police corruption, police abuse and corruption by politicians, off duty cops and others in a position of authority. But in Canada at least in Ontario the police can use the body cam video against the person they stopped but if the officer was out of line, aggressive, lies or corrupt they do not have to hand over the body cam or their notes if it could incriminate the police officer thanks to our unions that protect the guilty.

A nation whose police cannot implement the law, or worse whose judiciary cannot uphold the law, is simply a corrupt nation, and thereby becomes a lawless state, of which there are aplenty in this world. It is incumbent and vital on all people in such positions, be it politicians, police and judges to be examples of upholding the law. However, when they intimidate or throw their weight around they should be sacked or even put in jail. Such people undermine due process much more than a common law-breaker. can They are a threat to civilised society. These guys disgust me.

At one point in history a justice system was created that was so good and even arguably perfect that you could even report judges to the Prince, whom you can’t report to get them (typically judges were at that one point in time in history only men were judges) out of their position and the Prince would get rid of those incompetent, unjust, corrupted judges and replace them with someone who’s the opposite of that all but nowadays corruption is almost everywhere if not literally everywhere.

@duckster_playz531 I said people that do create the laws. What this means is let's say a congressman votes in favor of creating a federal law. The law passes. The congressman a year later breaks said law that he voted in favor of. He ought to get the maximum penalty for that law. How about a real life example. Gavin Newsom was instrumental in closing down restaurants during covid. But he was caught going against his own orders. He should receive the maximum penalty. I'll go even further. Any lawmaker who breaks a law that they helped create should get the maximum penalty and should also never be allowed to hold public office again.

@AwolGG
@AwolGG Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't necessarily say "unwilling", more so "unable". Most the time they don't want to risk their job to someone who holds the power to take it. I used to work at a retail store and when the pandemic hit, certain items had restrictions on how many you could buy. I remember a district manager lived in our area so he would shop in our store often. He constantly would attempt to buy over the limit and would strong arm the cashiers into letting it go. Cashier would say no and he would say some shit like "call your supervisor over and lets see if it's still a no". supervisor/dept manager would begrudgingly say yes because that person was who they had to go through to get promoted or to get a decent raise or bonus at the end of the year. I made the mistake of pushing back once early on and I mysteriously always had some performance issue come up right before end of year review. Perfect year, climbing metrics, department in the black all year. Then poof, "oh you actually went over your allotted payroll" or "your ordering forms are way off, we corrected them but gotta document it". I was "recommended"(forced) by him to swap the department I was successfully running for 3 years to go to the highest turn over rate position in management. Turned it around and my payroll once again got cut. Couldn't exactly prove it was malicious or targeted so I up and left. The point to this long story is that you can either grit your teeth and do what you can until you get stonewalled, or you can push back at the risk of losing the game.
