They are finally seeing reality in real time; Most I believe must be insane or suffering from temporary insanity to commit murder. Rage in our younger years is a tough emotion to get through. It was for me, especially if it was fueled with alcohol. I must admit there were two instances where murder passed through my mind when I was young. Thankfully sanity stepped in and foiled my chance of sitting in jail for life, Thank the Lord. Hormones are hard enough to deal with let alone adding a scary world to the mix.

Most are also scared of solitary confinement because they are terrified of the ghosts in their closet, meaning their own head.
