Cecil wouldn't risk the clone suddenly getting the same 'mindset' of the original omni man because that would all but guarantee earth's devastation. Even if he can somehow make a blank state with the same powers, that too is risky because without years of breeding a good set of morals, this new life form who was just made and given the powers of a God will most certainly turn bad. Look at Homelander as a reference. They need to somehow breed a viltrumite and raise it with a heroic disposition like batman has (no killing, protect innocent at all costs, etc), then use the powers when they're 18. There's no point in doing that though since I essentially just described Mark.....and well..... we know how that turned out lol.

the problem with using gameplay as your evidence is that it goes both ways. i can do a fatality on omni man with any character, therefore anyone in mk1 can beat omni man. plus in one of his liu kang resists a black hole and NO viltrumite has a feat anywhere CLOSE to that

@@doctorreed_ Viltrimites- Omniman can cross a galaxy in a matter of hours, meaning he can move faster than light, so one could quite easily resist a black hole, and even escape from a certain point below the event horizon. But yeah, gamelay feats are not applicable at all. I once learned that apparently Kratos can casually carry around a object that weighs something stupid, like an infinite number of universes according to Cannon. Gameplay...death by random ass monster. So I see what you mean. But in response, game play has a lore running through it. The premise of mortal combat is that mortals can conceivably stand a chance if they practice real real hard. The only enemies according to Lore that can't be beaten by mortals so easily would be like Shinnok, who Cage did Cannonically need bullshit ancient one superpowers to properly defeat. MK has never made a strong case for an adversary who could go up against Omniman.
