@@Sebastian-hc8rj Way to jump to conclusions. Ever heard of nature vs nurture? There is a big chance it's due to her upbringing but some people are just shitheads by nature. For example, I have 2 siblings and we all had pretty much the same upbringing. Yet one of them ended up acting almost as entitled as this person. We literally know nothing about them besides him at least acting like a normal person here. By the way, if your definition of good parenting is screaming at your kid then you are going to be an awesome parent...

@@Sebastian-hc8rj where tf do you get the idea that you have to yell at your kid to teach them a lesson? Children need to be taught respect, not fear and yelling doesn't teach respect. While some situations do require harsher punishment than others, aggression is rarely the best or even a good answer. Yelling at your kid is more likely to make them fear, resent, and feel isolated from you. Raising your voice is one thing but yelling aggressively is never the best or even a good option. Surely she's a daddy's girl and it's certainly possible he didn't teach her proper respect but that's not guaranteed especially since she's drunk, she could be a respectful person normally and is just really bad under the influence, doesn't seem likely but it's possible. Your first comment just sounds like a college kid that has been in a psychology class for a month and suddenly thinks they know everything about everyone. You don't have to come in so heated saying the dad doesn't deserve respect. He handled that situation as respectfully as he could to the officers. Yelling at his daughter in that situation is going to nothing helpful and if anything will make her more agitated when the priority is getting her to calm the hell down and quietly go to jail.

People think that because in a lot of cases, they do receive preferential treatment. Where I live for example, a local "businessman" (read: former mob boss) donated a bunch of money to the cops for new patrol cars, and he's pretty well known in the area for just not obeying traffic laws. That being said, his family is more than just connected to the cops, he's connected to local government as well (basically every man has gotten a donation from his family), so he functionally runs the city.

Sometimes, being a parent is not bailing your kids out. I had a situation with the school, and while I went hard after them for a 1A violation involving a video on social media not involving illegal activity or threats explicit or implied or defamatory, etc (bad taste and illegal activity are different), when he got in a minor dust-up with another student around the same time, he served his suspension. This girl probably didn't listen to him at all either, or he might have been able to teach her how to flee from law enforcement with slightly greater skill. 😅

The 4th lady donates her money for the police to do their job, but not when it comes to her. People who support police gotta realize your support doesn't make you immune to arrest or prosecution. Ideally, the police treats everyone from the highest income to the lowest income the same. If you're supporting the police in hopes of preferential treatment you don't support justice at all.

actually the justice system is biased across the world, women get lesser sentences, famous people get away with all kinds of shit regularly, corruption runs rampant through all governments

Gotta say it’s refreshing to see the cops treating one of their own the same as anyone else, granted if they were from his own precinct it might have gone differently.

I have to disagree. For all they knew, she could've been the victim of battery. How they approached her and instigated a reaction from her while she was simply standing there and waiting to go home is absurd. When they arrived, she wasn't shouting, causing a disturbance etc. They approached her, forced the issue, and didn't like that she didn't submit to them. I'm glad the charges against her were dismissed. It was bullshit from the start.

@@junde410 Damn, didn't even consider that, I was more looking at her behaviour after the fact. With how much she was pushing that she was going to get them in trouble, it seems a lot like she just wants to get out of it entirely. It's absurd how far victims go to not get their abusers in trouble.

@@DefectiveLotus Idk if you live in the US but we have a serious police brutality issue here, so "back the blue" meaning "support the police" politically and/or financially and "until it happens to you" meaning "until the police unnecessarily harm you". I don't know that I've heard it before, but it makes a lot of sense seeing as a lot of people who believe themselves above the law are the ones trying to keep the police above the law and supporting their outrageous budget.
