This is absolutely true. If it were me, I would have been way less lenient on A'Rou. Especially because her mouth is the reason why Ruyi got punished by Gao. At that point, I'm taking her on a personal tour of the punishment department and showing her all the tools they use, then I'm showing her all the rods they use to cane the servants. If you don't want that to be you, stay in line. In the meantime, I would work on marrying her out of the palace. Suoxin proved a much better head maid than she did.

Delusional girl. Aruo didn't know she had it good until it was gone. Even if her father was favored, it doesn't mean Aruo's ranking has changed in the palace. Mocking her fellow workers wouldn't have helped her either and made no sense with her current status as a servant. Not mention if she did join the harem (eventually she did), those who were hurt by her will remember her with resentment and won't treat her well if she fell out of favor. She fought the Empress and Noble Consort Hui alongside Ruyi, did she really believe they would become her allies? Aruo received her retribution in the end, Lianxin's words came true after all.

I could live in these times. Neither Eastern or Western where the common thing is to agree and never deny what Emperors/Kings or Empresses/Queens set you up with someone. Especially if you know the other person is trash. They didn't know how Lianxin would be treated, but they knew it would ruin her and her family. On top of that, they didn't care if Lianxin wanted to be a mother because that was one of the requirements and what women wanted back then. I would love to see a show and/or movie where the subject says "No."

@@Seal_127我觉得娴妃其实有能力与贵妃对质毕竟她列位六妃之一有话语权而且阿箬是延禧宫的大宫女不因该想罚就罚。如果阿箬嘲笑的是贵妃本人或是她宫里的人那们就是以下犯上。打狗也得看主人。莲心的主子是皇后要罚也得看皇后。所以我觉得娴妃因该拉贵妃去长春宫等待皇后发落。皇后要维持贤惠的态度所以不会太为难阿箬毕竟对食或太监与宫女在一起在清朝是一件不美好，光彩的事情。娴妃那时候实在是太单纯了
