He is a British racer; a racer who endorsed “veganism” if I may coin such a label, and told the “herd” (of fans who most probably look up to him as a kind of role model/idol/hero of sort) to be vegan. Little did “the herd” know that veganism is not as simple as giving up meat and dairies, “vegan-istas” will need to pop health supplements in order to stay “healthy” and fit 🙈. It is a relatively expensive lifestyle - “veganism”. This is another curious paradox of life - “vegan-istas” spending their money on health supplements to get the essential amino acids and other micro-nutrients that they are missing out on owing to their “choice” - supplements are manufactured in labs/ manufacturing plants that emit carbon into the atmosphere and use plastic bottles/containers that not only pollute but is adding more strain to our landfills/waste management 🤔🤭😅🤣

I think there's a huge distinction between the smaller sustainable family farms like we see in the UK and the giant ones we see in countries like Brazil and the USA. I feel like whenever people talk about farming they lump everyone in together but really they should be saying to support local farmers and boycott the big boys. Go after the ones causing deforestation the Amazon, not Gareth's family farm with 100 cows on it! Because if Gareth goes bust then who will manage the land? It'll be bought up by big farms who won't give a crap about the land they farm as long as they make money.

You do realise that farmers hold the potential to replace petroleum based products . As they had replaced farming in the past. So lots and lots of economic reasons to heavily invest in our farmers and reap the rewards collectively because it is the basis of all other development.

Hi Gareth, I have a random question for you regarding badgers: - in my area we are overrun with them. On a night time i can easily x10 in one field, have you had any experience of badgers taking lambs and what have you tried to do about it.... Foxes in the area have been dealt with and there are only a couple knocking around which is prob ok, but the badgers are hitting everything else hard and there is nothing we can do... thoughts? Fact, a 2022 study of 175 countries concluded the life expectancy of vegans is shorter than that of meat eaters. To be honest, I think this might be because it would be a miserable existence to endure 😂. A consultant biochemistry once told me that most vegans have serious amino acids and other nutritional deficiencies. There is a reason we have omnivorous dentition, we are designed to eat meat and plants. Both are essential to our health. The climate change argument holds no water. All these vegan and vegetarian "meat shamers" need to think about where their avocado's come from. Thousands of acres of rainforest have been decimated to grow them. They are then shipped all over the world. If that is greener than cow farts, I'll go vegan myself.

I'm vegan. I don't really like the killing of animals for sustenance. I do see a difference in your type of farming and big animal agriculture though. The main issue is the amount of animal products the world consumes cannot be met by small farms alone. First step I would like to see is to stop government subsidies stop going to the meat, dairy and egg industries. Let's pay the fair price for what goes into these items. Hopefully that would reduce the demand and then more small sustainable farms could provide enough supply.
